••Johnson's POV••

"Morning dad." I said to him as I walked in the living room
"Morning Jack." He smiled I smiled back and sat down on the couch
"What's wrong?" He asked pausing the game
"How'd yo-He cut me off
"I'm your father." He said I sighed
"I like Alex, and I want her to be my girlfriend but her ex boyfriend cheated on her and she's afraid to get hurt again." I explained he nodded for me to continue

"And she still loves him." I clenched my jaw
"And do you know if she likes you back?" He asked
"I mean I've kissed her and she kissed back that counts right?" I asked
"Not really." He shook his head I sighed
"I love her dad." I mumbled
"And have you told her?" He asked
"I mean I've told her I like her but not love her." I said
"Love sucks." I mumbled

"No it doesn't, she's hurt and you need to understand that Jack, the boy she loves hurt her she's just not ready yet." He said I groaned and nodded
"I do dad...it's just I want to be able to call her mine." I mumbled
"Just be there for her and don't pressure her." He said
"John, David is here." My mom said walking in the living room
"Alex's dad?" I asked as we both stood up she nodded

"Wasn't he gonna come till Christmas?" My dad asked
I'm confused
"Wait where was he?" I asked them
"You didn't know?" My mom asked
"Didn't know what?" I asked
"Come." She said walking away I looked at my dad before following her
"What's going on?" Gilinsky asked coming down with Madison
"Umm Alex dad is here." I said he looked at me confused I shrugged. We walked out to see Alex, Daniel, Summer and Monica hugging a man in a army uniform

"He was in the army." I whispered
"When did he go back?" I asked my mom
"About a year later when you guys left." My dad said I nodded. I looked at Alex to see a huge smile on her face but she was also crying. I could defiantly tell they were tears of joy. They looked at us
"Who's that?" Sam asked walking out
"Your girlfriends dad." I smirked he rolled his eyes. Alex motioned us over
I awkwardly followed my mom and dad
"Nice to have you back." My mom said and hugged David

"Why didn't you tell me he was in the army?" I asked Alex
"I don't really like talking about it." She mumbled I nodded
"Jack and Jack." David smiled at us
"Mr. Castillo." I smiled
"We didn't know you went back." Gilinsky said
"I got called back." He said
"Well we have to celebrate." My mom said I chuckled
"Of course we do." Monica said smiling

"Alex this is Madison." I said to her
"Hi." She waved at her
"Hey." Madison smiled back I chuckled
"Well great to see you girls are hitting it off." Gilinsky laughed
"Let's go inside." Monica said. I turned to see Sam and Summer talking. They really need to date. We all went inside and sat in the living room

"Where's your boyfriend Alex?" David asked I clenched my jaw
I guess he doesn't know
"We're not dating anymore dad." Alex said
"Never did like him." He said I chuckled making Alex glare at me
"Can we not talk about this?" Alex asked her dad nodded
"Kids go upstairs this is grown up talk." My mom said. We all nodded and went upstairs to Alex's room
"I'm glad dads here." Summer said sitting on the bed

"We all are Sum." Daniel said
"Why didn't you guys tell us he went back to the army?" I asked
"I told Sam." Summer shrugged
"We thought your parents would tell you." Daniel said
"Well they didn't." Gilinsky said I nodded
"It's not something we tell everyone." Alex said
"Wh-I cut myself short and just shut up. I'll ask her later

***2 Hours Later***

We were watching a movie when Alex looked at me
"Can I talk to you?" She asked
"Sure." I nodded and stood up. Everyone was too into the movie to see we walked out
"So what's up?" I asked as we walked where I'm guessing is the laundry room
"Sorry I didn't tell you about my dad, I-I." She looked down
"Hey." I said cupping her cheeks
