Day Of Wedding

"I couldn't be anymore proud of you." My father smiled at me as he helped me fix my tie. Today is the day, the day I get married with Alex, the girl I loved since sixth grade, nothing could top this, nothing.
"I'm shaking." I chuckled
"That's normal, the same thing happened to me when I married your mother." He assured.
"Were you sweating like a pig?" I snorted making him laugh
"More or so." He shrugged.

"Point is, woman are like jewels, we have to treat them right for them not to loose their shine." He smiled
"I'll try not to take that as a sexual innuendo." I muttered.
"It's not." He assured with a chuckle
"What I'm trying to say is don't make her sad, don't make her cry, make her smile everyday and let her know just how much you love her." He explained to me.
"I'll make sure to do just that dad." I smiled and nodded.

"My baby!" My mom smiled as she walked into the room
"Don't cry again mom." I groaned. Officially, she was the one who was supposed to help me get ready, but the tears started gushing out and she couldn't control herself and started telling me stories until my dad came in and told her to get some air and not come back until she was calm.
"I won't, I won't." She assured, waving me off. My dad chuckled and shook his head.

"Good, cause I really don't want to hear any more stories about myself when I was a baby." I chuckled.
"But why? You were an adorable baby with your big blue eyes and b-"
"Jennifer, that's enough." My dad insisted as he cut her off.
"I'm sorry." She sighed
"It's just you've grown up so fast, I didn't even notice." She smiled softly
"I'm getting married mom, not sailing off to war." I chuckled, receiving a slap on the arm from my mom.

"Mom!" I whined
"Don't joke about that." She warned, pointing a finger at me.
"Ok ok, I'm sorry." I replied
"Have you seen Alex?" I asked her, she smiled widely.
"I have, and I must say she looks like a princess." She giggled
"I want to see her already, I don't want to wait an hour." I groaned
"You waited years, you can wait an hour." She assured.
"I know." I sighed and nodded

"And baby David looks adorable." She squealed
"Why can't I at least see him?" I pouted
"Because Summer was changing him, but she promised me she would bring him over once she's done combing his hair." She replied
"He barely has hair!" I exclaimed making my dad laugh.
"Baby's gotta look good for his parents wedding." He shrugged
"He always looks good, have you met his mother?" I muttered.

"Of course I have, I've known her since she was a baby." He replied
"Your hair's sticking up." My mom frowned, licking her fingers and running her hand through my gelled hair which now had saliva
"Daaaad." I groaned, looking to my dad who had an amused look on his face. He exhaled before wrapping his arms around my moms waist and pulling her away from me.
"Thank you." I sighed, straightening out my suit.

"We'll be back in half an hour, see if she stops trying to baby you." My dad chuckled before pulling my mom out of the room.
"Bye baby!" My mom yelled as my dad shut the door
"Bye mom!" I yelled back, looking at myself in the mirror. I looked so different, good different obviously, but still different. I was finally getting married with the girl of my dreams and I was beyond happy. I felt like I could fly, she always had that affect on me, and I don't think it'll ever go away

"Here's baby David!" Summer appeared behind me with David in her arms who was wearing possibly the smallest tuxedo I've ever seen. I smiled widely as I turned around and took him from her hands
"Look at you." I whispered, caressing his cheek
"I should go, I just wanted to drop him off with you before going with Alex." Summer smiled at me.
"Thank you." I smiled back
