“Come on Em, I bet you look fine.” Zack begged while knocking on the bathroom door. I looked at myself in the mirror, I had straightened my hair and put a beanie on, I glanced down at my dress, it was white with black trim and then black Toms on my feet, not the worst possible dress I could’ve bought.

“Em.” Zack knocked again,

“Yeah I’m coming.” I muttered opening the door,

“You look great.” He smiled, “But no beanie.” He added pulling the beanie off my head, he had a point. I scanned over Zack’s outfit; he had on a button-up dress shirt, a black vest and skinny jeans,

“You don’t look so bad yourself.”

I followed Zack into the front lounge where all the guys were nicely dressed in their suits,

“Wow looking good guys.” I laughed as they all shot their heads round to me, Jack let out a wolf whistle,

“Looking good Merrick.”

“You don’t clean-up bad yourself Barakat.”

“Ready to go?” Matt asked as he entered the bus, “Oh wow Em.” He added, I felt myself blush a little. Everyone started getting off the bus,

“My goodness you look beautiful.” Alex said as he hugged me from behind,

“Why hello Mr Handsome.” I said in reply, tilting my head up and kissing him on the cheek,

“Shall we join everyone?” he asked holding his hand out,

“I guess we should.” I laughed grabbing his hand and walking out the bus.

After dinner everyone started heading back to the bus,

“Uh, uh, uuuuuhh, we’re not going back to the bus just yet.” Alex grabbed my hand and started pulling me in the opposite direction,

“Wh-“ I began to ask but was cut off,

“You’ll see.” A smile spread across his face. He pretty much dragged me to a park a few minutes away from the restaurant; I followed him onto a small bridge over a lake.

“Alex what are we doing here?” I asked looking round at the view,

“I wanted to make your birthday special.” He had a lop-sided smile plastered on his face, he reached into his pocket and pulled out a blue felt box, “And I thought this would be a nice place to give you your present.” My heart began to beat faster.

He opened the box revealing a silver guitar pic necklace, with the words ‘Lost In Music’ engraved in it along with a music note.

“O-oh my god Alex, i-it’s beautiful.” Was all I was able to mumble out, it was the most beautiful thing I’d ever seen,

“Let me put it on.” I held my hair out the way as he clipped it together, I could feel tears welling up in my eyes, “I’m guessing you like it?” He giggled,

“I love it!” I squealed, jumping into a hug, wrapping my arms around his neck,

“I love you.” He whispered, as I fell back onto my feet

“I love you too.” I whispered back, kissing him.

We walked back to the bus hand in hand, once we reached the bus door I turned to Alex,

“I think we should tell everyone, about us.”

“Good idea.” He smiled, opening the door.

“Where’d you two go?” Rian asked, I looked up at Alex then holding his hand,

“Woah, woah, what do we have here?” Danny chuckled,

“We have something to tell you guys,” Alex began, I looked over at Jack who had the stupidest grin on his face, “Emily and I have been dating since before last tour.”

“EEEEEEE!” Jack let out a high-pitched girly squeal,

“Why didn’t you tell us earlier!” Rian complained,

“Group hug!” Jack screamed, not again. Everyone jumped-up engulfing Alex and I in a group hug,

“I told you this would happen, I predicted it! Didn’t I Jeff?” Evan yelled, Jeff just nodded his head with a sigh.

“EMILEX FOR LIFE!” Jack screamed again.

Everyone had gone to bed already seeing as they were drunk out of their minds from celebrating. I made myself a jasmine tea and sat down on the couch, tonight had been the best night I’d had in a long time,

“Hey loner.” Alex laughed, leaning on the doorframe,

“Oh hey. I thought you’d be dead to the world drunk by now.”

“Wasn’t in the mood, plus I have on more present for you.” He quickly said before pulling something out from behind him. I ripped opened the wrapping paper, inside was Alex’s Micky Mouse hoodie,

“Seeing as you love wearing my clothes so much, I thought I’d give you your own to keep.” He smiled,

“Awh you shouldn’t have.” I pulled the hoodie on over my head, it was so big on me, I heard Alex giggle, I just raised an eyebrow at him,

“You’re just so adorable.” He giggled again, kissing me on the nose causing me to crinkle my face up, “Night oldie.” He added walking into the bunk area, I didn’t respond, I just stayed sitting on the couch and finished my tea. I curled into a ball on the couch, I was comfy and didn’t feel like getting up, so I just dozed-off with a huge smile on my face.
