Sunburns

Helen's POV

Why is life so brutal? I hope it's a good reason. As we watched Magnus in disbelief, the drakon smacked me and I fell to the side, unable to get up. After a few seconds, I blacked out.
*Flashback*
"Noooooooo!" I said as the house was burning down. Smoke was everywhere, so I couldn't see anything. "Mom! Dad! Where are you!" I yelled as the roof started to fall. I tried looking for the fire exit, but I couldn't find it. I suddenly saw a flashing light. I kept running and running down the hallway, and the light became closer and closer. Just then, a piece of the ceiling fell in front of the exit, and I was trapped. Next thing you know, I was lying down unconscious, engulfed in flames.
*Flashback over*
I woke up to see myself lying down a few feet away from Magnus. Athena and Mitch were still fighting the drakon. I crawled onto my feet, and grabbed my sword. I didn't mention this, but yes, I had a sword. Anyways, I charged at the creature with full speed, and stabbed its eye. The monster roared as blood gushed out from its eye. The three of us kept slashing it, but our hits weren't very... effective. The drakon stabbed Mitch in the head, picked him up, and threw him into a pit of lava. "Oh, crab." Athena said as we watched him plummet into the burning lava. Suddenly, I heard a very loud battle cry from behind the mythological organism. Golden flames flew at the drakon, causing it to become engulfed in flames, thus causing its misery to end. After the monster turned to dust, I saw a familiar figure......

Jack.

"Hey guys!" He exclaimed as he extinguished his golden flames. "I knew you would come back for me? Wait..... Where's Mitch?" Jack asked. "Oh, he said he likes playing with magma, so the drakon allowed him to." Answered Athena. Wow... that's kinda awkward. Answered Athena. They both start with A's. "Oh, I get it." Jack said. He then pointed to Magnus, who looked like he was dead, because blood was still gushing out of his stomach. "Oh, no! I almost forgot about him!" Athena shrieked as she ran to her almost-dead boyfriend. Whoops. Did I spoil it? She picked him up, even though he was bleeding, and they all walked back to the spacecraft. "How will we get out of here if we can't use his void powers?" I asked. "Well, we just need to hope he doesn't die, because if he dies, then we all die with him." Athena said. When we got to the ship, Athena put Magnus down, and rummaged through her backpack. "Well, it's a bummer that I don't have any potions, but I do have a big piece of cloth that I can use as a bandage." She said. "Well, that might be good enough." Jack said. He soon had a giant band-aid on his torso. Athena kept her hand on his chest, so she knows if he's dead or not. There was a long silence. Longer than when a guy asks a girl out in middle school. "Uhhh... guys, we're screwed." Athena finally said.
I guess when Zeus said that Jack was going to be banished into Tartarus forever, he meant it. Well, we had to "risk it for the biscuit". Now, we're gonna have to survive through Tartarus. Suddenly, an idea sprang in my mind. "Hey, guys. Do you know any way that we could use to come out of Tartarus?" I asked. "Maybe we could follow the monsters?" I suggested. "To where?" Jack asked. "Well, we can go to the Doors of Death." I answered.

  Wazzup, Wattpadians! I'd like to thank everyone for over 250 reads! I also wanted to say something else: sorry if I'm not "dramatic" enough (this was suggested by sammyflufflepuff ). Sometimes I like to be like whatever, just like that scene in Gladiator where the guy sticks a sword in another guy's head, and no one cares. I hope I don't lose reads for that. So from now on I'll try to be more "dramatic". That's all I got to say for now.
