Athena's POV (after soooooooo long)

I tried mending to Jack's hand, but the bleeding would not stop. He kept yelling and screaming and wailing in pain. Soon enough, my hands and clothes started to get bloody. "Can someone help over here?" I shouted, which took Magnus and Mitch out of their trances. "Here, let me help." Mitch told me, coming near us. He unsheathed his blade and sliced off a part of his robes. He then took the cloth and wrapped it around Jack's hand, slowing down the bleeding. The  bandage suddenly turned from dark blue to dark purple. The blood didn't stop. "Just press down on it. That'll probably stop it." Magnus suggested. I pressed down on the injury, and slowly, the flow of blood stopped. I looked at Jack's face to see it drenched with tears. His eyes were closed; he wasn't dead, he just fainted. The stench of dry blood got onto me, making me smell like a martyr. "When I get home, I need to take a shower." I said. "So, what do we do now?" Mitch asked, taking his hood off, revealing his black hair. "I think I should add that to my FAQ list. I'm gonna stay here with Jack, I dunno about you guys." I told them. "We'll stay with you here, just in case something happens." Magnus said, sitting down on the grass.
"So, why did you guys come here in the first place?" Mitch asked. "Y'know, just a regular picnic with two idiots and a smart girl." I said. "Hey!" Magnus yelled and stood up. "Hay is for horses" I replied. He sat down again.
"Maybe Jack is an idiot, but I ain't!"
"Are you sure?"
"Yes."
I landed a soft punch on his arm. "You're lying."
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah."
"Now you're lying."
"Shut up." I said and laughed.
"I'd rather decide to look away right now, Mitch." Someone from us said. I knew that it wasn't Magnus. I didn't know who it was until I saw one of Jack's eyes barely opened. I was startled. "Holy cra–why did you do that?!" I yelled as I jumped up. His wounded hand was on fire. "Sorry." He apologized. "I accept your apology. But next time, don't scare me like that." I replied. "Well, I'll try. Unless I'm on the verge of death again. Then I have a point." He muttered. "We have ourselves a deal." I told him. I didn't shake his hand, because I knew it was also going to burst into flames. We all stood up, and soon enough, the fire on Jack's hands were extinguished. Magnus grabbed my hand, and Jack started freaking out. "YOU'RE ONLY THIRTEEN YEARS OLD. STOP." He said in a loud voice, but he didn't yell. "Well, you're only thirteen years old and you're already acting like my mom. Stop." I answered back. I weirdly felt a strong pulse of energy coming from Magnus's hand. "I gotta get back home now. See you guys later." Mitch said, turning around to leave. "Bye." Magnus waved. Mitch then teleported away, and he was out of sight. Jack, Magnus, and I were left. "So... what was about that book that my brother was holding?" Magnus asked. "Oh. It was a spell book that I was supposed to give to you. But he somehow managed to posses you and retrieve it, even though he was all the way down there." Jack explained, pointing to the ground when he said the words down there. "Like, he always finds a way to escape everything. He can't be contained properly without him teleporting out." He continued. "Well, as they say, 'Like brother, like evil twin brother'. Wait, I don't think they say that." Magnus told us. He was still holding my hand, but I don't think Jack even cared anymore. Maybe... wait, no, that would be disgusting. Why would I want to think of that? Anyway, I decided to finally get back home. "So, I'mma go home right now, see you soon." I said. "Wait. I smell... fresh blood. I know it's not mine, because my hand is already healed from the fire." Jack said, his eyes darting around the area. "I think it's—" I was interrupted by Magnus. "Me." He said. He pulled out a sword made of light. It had blood at the pointy edge. And then his eyes glowed.

Yes! I'm finally done with my science project! And this update took two weeks. TWO WEEKS. WHY. WHY. WHY. So I guess this has been the longest update (meaning how long it took) I've ever did! I should give myself a pat on the back. But school starts tomorrow, which is the biggest bummer ever to exist. So yeah. See you all next time. Bye.
