my door opened. footsteps walked around. I held my breath. my door closed and the footsteps walked away. I let go of my breath. after about an hour I crawled out and opened my door. I went to my parents door. I looked in. my mom was under the bed. where's dad? i walked to there bathroom and dad was dead. he looked like he got stabbed in the heart. I walked over and pulled my mom out from under the bed. she was dead to? she got stabbed in the head. I ran down stairs. I opened the front door and ran. i ran as long as I could. I ran into a boy about my age. he looked scared. he grabbed my hand and dragged me behind him as he ran. when we got to a house he dragged me into it. "your lucky" he said. "how" i asked. "I just saved you from two masked people that were running after me. if I would have let you keep running the direction you were you would be dead right now" he said. "the masked people killed my brother and my parents" i said. "they killed my parents" he said sadly. "we have ten hours to go before everything is elegal again" i said. "i don't know if I'll make it that long" he said. "just remember what good the purge does" i said. he raised an eyebrow. "so what's your name" I asked. "trevor" he said.
