Chapter Eight: Plotting
Emily looked around at everyone sitting by the tree. All together, there were ten.
Who would split off with who? When would they go? Would anyone chicken out?
Those were the questions that raced through the minds of the children sitting around the tree near Black Lake.
"I say tonight!" James spoke up suddenly, causing everyone to come back to earth from their thoughts.
"No, James," Emily disagreed, "Not tonight. We should all talk this over more-"
"Emilyyyyyyyyyyy!"
"No."
"Yes!"
"No!"
"Why noooooooooooot?"
"James, you're not that much of an idiot-"
Albus laughed at that statment.
"-we aren't ready to go!"
"Yahuh!"
"Yahuh?"
"Meaning 'yeah'!" James explained.
Emily shook her head. "Fine, but when someone-!"
"Okay," James ignored that Emily was talking and continued on with his plans for the night. "I'll go with Emily."
"I'll go with Scorpius," Trinity volunteered.
James nodded, approving the pair.
"I'll go with Sofia," Aidan told him.
"Of course," James said.
"Max and I could go together," Selena offers.
"So then Rose and I would go together."
"Then that's settled. It'll be Emily and I, Rose and Albus, Selena and Maximum, Aidan and Sofia, and Trinity and Scorpius."
Everyone else nodded in agreement.
