The funeral

We get there, and I see my family. My uncles and aunts are the first to walk up to me after the coffins are lowered, and I welcome their embraces. Then I see my grandmother.

"Nana!" I gently hug her, careful to not hit her wheelchair. "I didn't think you'd make it, the doctors said you wouldn't-"

She gives me a thin smile and chuckles. "Sweetheart, of course I would be here. I had to be here for you. Now, what do you say we go back, and we can get your things. There's more than enough room at my house for you."

I smile, but then the nurse interrupts.

"You know we can't do that. She has to go into foster care." She unlocks the wheelchair. I feel like a train hit me.

"What?! No! I'm not going into foster care! I have family, why would-"

"We have asked every one of your relatives if they could take care of you. No one said the could. And your grandmother, as sweet as she is, can't be responsible for you. I'm sorry." The nurse says as she wheels my nana back to the car.

I look over at my family. No one? Not one of them?

"Some family you are." I say to no one and walk away. That's when I notice all the agents.

"What's going on?"
