His hands are tangled in my hair and I take deep steady breaths as I lay next to Levi in the back of his truck. His arms hold me firmly and how I am falling deeply in love with this boy that I never thought I could love. He's like the dark side of the moon, but he's so interesting.
"Levi?" I whisper, tracing my finger on his shirt.
"Eleanor?" he asks back in a whisper.
"Why are you doing this? Treating me like-like-"
He answers for me, "Like a princess?"
"...yes," I barely speak.
"Because Eleanor, you are a princess. You deserve to be treated like one. You hold yourself with confidence, you fight like a warrior, you speak with gentleness. And I'm in love with that," he whispers in my ear.
My heart skips beats and my breathing becomes shallow, "You're-you're in love with that?"
"I'm in love with you."
"Levi-"
But I'm cut off by his lips brushing mine, ever so softly. He tastes like mint and smells like evergreen. A sweet combination. He's in love with me and I'm in love with him.
