I always knew we were perfect for each other but for a while I was starting to think maybe the two puzzle pieces that had fit together so well at one point had been bent out of shape or had softened on the sides so much that they couldn't fit together anymore.

He didn't talk to me for a long time, so I patiently waited for him to let the fire he was holding in explode and burn just as everything else in our lives did.

I was just praying my shoulders would be strong enough to let him cry the burdens away and my heart would be durable enough to stand the flames.
