So if Gilinsky didn't have a crush on Johnson, then why would he respond to this one specifically talking about Jolinsky???
There are 2 different reasons:
1. He wanted to clarify any dating rumors and for people to stop shipping Jolinsky (because he likes Johnson but doesn't want him to know)
2. He wanted people to ship them more so Johnson would notice and like him back
Yeah it's normal for friends to say they love each other, but keep in mind that this was about Jolinsky.
