I put on some army joggers, black Jordans, a black crop top, and a black beanie with my hair behind my shoulders. And I put my pistol in my pocket, dressing Lia up just like me except the crop top, she's way too young for that. Instead I give her a shirt that fit

"Alright. Don't tell your daddy we went out the window" I say smiling

She nods

"Now you better hang on tight" I warn putting her on my back

I run down the hallway to my dad's room and climb out the window using his bed sheets as a rope. I slid down down the makeshift rope and run for my car.

"Do you have a car seat?" I ask

"Yep"

Ooooh, that's a problem...

"Eh, when I was your age I was trying to steal cars. You're old enough" I say plopping her in the front seat

"Cool" Lia gasps

I pull out the driveway like a mad woman, Lia screams excitedly sticking her head out the window like a dog. I laugh putting down the roof

"Woah!! It's like a roller coaster!" Lia yelled sticking her hands in the air

I pull off her beanie and mine so they wouldn't blow off.

"You want ice cream!?" I yell over the loudness of the wind wooshing past us

"Yeah, yes, yes!!!" Lia screamed

We pull into the parking lot of the ice cream parlor and I lock my car taking Lia's hand. I put our beanies back on and we enter the ice cream place

"One mint chocolate chip ice cream in a dish. And one..."

I look down at Lia waiting for her answer

"Birthday cake! With lots of sprinkles!" She yells

The guy laughs

"Is that your daughter?" He asked

"No, this is my niece. I'm taking her out today" I smile

He looks into my eyes

"That's cute. I love kids, maybe the three of us could hang out some time. Or maybe just us.." he smiled at me

"Sure" I wink writing down my number

I give him my number and he hands us our ice cream

"What do you say?" I ask Lia

"Thank you!" She waved to the boy

"You are very welcome. Now you be good" he said waving back

She nodded and we sat outside under an umbrella covered table. Lia was telling me how she wanted to be a thief just like me one day and I listened smiling. I was amused until I looked up and saw him
