I ended up getting nothing at all at the expensive store, just like I said I wouldn't. I refused to buy anything that cost more than five grand, which was just about everything. The girls weren't too happy with me, but then again, who is? Liam bought a new suit that was dark and fitted. He was very tempted to get his hair done professionally, but I promised him I'd do it. His mate Andy got the same thing, and, Andy is getting his hair done professionally. That all cost close to a small mansion. In the car, I stayed quiet as the girls talked about how pretty they're going to look. I'm sure Lucas bought me a suit that will fit all the expectations of this event.

"I honestly can't believe that you didn't buy anything at all," said Daisy.

"He's my brother," I mumbled. "I have something."

"You're going to wear a suit twice? That is disgusting," said Daisy.

"Washing machines still exist," I said and ignored her the rest of the ride back.

...

Back in our room, Liam took a quick shower, and rushed to put his suit and shoes on. He wobbled a little in the shoes. I told him not to buy the ones with the heel on them but he did anyways. He sat in a robe on the couch where I did his hair. I did the most complicated and special hairdo I know. He was very pleased with the results. I'm no pro at hair, but I've seen Dad do hair log enough that I'm no rookie either.

I went into my privacy and put on a suit I'm sure I've worn once. I didn't mind wearing things twice, I never thought there was a problem with it. I guess I'm still stuck in the old generation, no one wears things twice nowadays. My suit was a dark one without a tie or a jacket. I hate to copy Lucas, but I feel like I'd be letting him down if I didn't copy his style.

"Are you ready yet? We have to go now," Liam asked while getting his wallet.

I looked at the makeup on his face, it didn't look like him at all. I guess he wanted to look like a complete idiot in front of Lucas. It's just a simple powder and concealer, I do see bronzer though. Male makeup is ridiculous, I'm gay and I don't even wear makeup.

We walked outside with the rest of the jocks who looked just as fancy as Liam does. I took my neck brace off for this special day, and I didn't use my crutches, which I totally regret. I'm limping everywhere and toppling over as I was with my slightly fewer toes and my just healed broken legs. We walked to the Franklin-Kyle and sat in the very front. We all waited for everyone to get settled in. Everyone is here from all the students, all the professors, the administration, the paparazzi, everything is here.

The lights went off on house and on center stage. Lucas walked onto the stage and claps erupted the Franklin-Kyle auditorium. He sure does know how to clean up. Lucas had gelled his hair back for the first time ever, he shaved the stubble from his chin, and he had on a suit without the tie and jacket, of course. Clapping was non-stop in Franklin-Kyle. Lucas smile widened, showing his teeth, which were whitened and straight, unlike mines.

"Hello students of Junior Academy of Preparation Unification, I am Lucas Hasten Austin-Tomlinson," he announced.

Lucas looked around Franklin-Kyle and smiled. By his facial expression, you could see he was loving this. He loves the attention, he loves being in charge, he loves being a leader, which I would love it too if I was as good as a leader as he is. He's something that I'm not, I can't seem to understand how people connect us. I am completely different from him.

He's loud and I'm quiet, he's rich and I'm poor, he's beautiful and I'm not, he's popular and I'm not, he's respected and I'm laughed at, he's lean and strong and I'm chubby and weak, he's a leader and I'm a loner, his eyes are bright and mines are dark, his face is strong and mines is round. We don't look alike at all, which only allows people to make the connection of our relation only by our last names.
