Chapter Fourteen
In the sweet confines of Bennett's arms, Emma had slept peacefully. Last night had been wonderful, to say the least, and she woke up feeling rejuvenated, like a totally new woman.
She took in her surroundings as her eyes adjusted to the stream of light shining in the through the window. She had not seen much of his bedroom last night, only the bed, really and Bennett's gorgeous, strong and capable body, hands and mouth.
The room was enormous, with cream coloured walls, a huge walk in closet and ensuite off to one side. The bed she lay in was made from a dark mahogany and wrought iron, and she was curled up in black Egyptian cotton sheets.
As she lay beside him, she watched as he continued to sleep. She took this opportunity to stare in wonder at him before he woke. He was incredibly handsome, even in his sleep. What a joy he was to study, every feature so perfectly defined. His soft, blond hair was tousled and splayed out over the pillow. His lips seemed fuller in sleep and his face seemed that of a carefree man. The stubble that had just began to surface on his chin made Emma want to run her hands over it, over his entire face and body really. Unsure, she kept them to herself. Last night had been fantastic, but if her recent encounter with Seth was anything to go by, she just was not certain what happened next. Cringing at the thought, she shut her eyes to try and expel the flashback from her mind. Re-opening them she continued to gaze upon this man. His looks were perfect, and she was a lucky girl to be lying beside him.
As though he could sense her, his eyes began to flutter open. Emma froze, embarrassed. How creepy must this look?
His face broke into a huge grin, his white teeth in perfect rows gleaming, as he saw her watching him. "Enjoying the view?"
She felt her face heat up, and she rested her head back down on the pillow, throwing one arm across her face shyly, grinning from ear to ear.
He leaned over, moved her hand away and smoothed the loose strands of her hair from her face.
"Why don't you go freshen up? I'll make us some breakfast,"

Having the means to have live in help like Mrs Hayne, only gave Emma the assumption that Bennett had no idea how to take care of himself or his home. Yet as she exited the bathroom after a cool shower, she was pleasantly surprised.
Dressed in last night's clothes, the aroma that awaited her was nothing short of delectable. She could smell eggs, bacon and coffee, and her stomach rumbled. Last nights antics had left her with a raging appetite.
The sight that awaited her was also just as good.
Entering the grand kitchen, two white plates were already placed on the table, underneath cane place mats. Bennett was behind the kitchen counter, making coffee. He was dressed in only black pyjama bottoms that hung low on his waist. His bare upper body was on display, toned, muscular and lean. Emma tore her eyes away from him just in time for him to notice she was there. The last thing she wanted him to think of her was a stalker.
"How do you take it?" He asked her, smiling.
Emma smiled back, "Black with one sugar,"
She sat at the table, and waited for Bennett to join her before digging in.
As hungry as she was, the sight of Bennett beside her, half naked was just not helping. Hunger had been overtaken by the butterflies fluttering wildly in her stomach. Is it even good manners to eat with no shirt on? Her subconscious griped. When you're that hot, yes it was.
"Are you okay?" Bennett asked her, after a few moments of silence passed between them. He was frowning, worried.
Emma nodded, finishing the mouthful of scrambled eggs. "Yes," She swallowed. "I'm fine,"
