We started walking in silence. When we got a little ways from the house and away from my mother. I finally got the guts to ask him the one question that had been bugging me the most. I said "So what's it like being as old as you are?" He laughed as he answered very boring. The thing is I had so many questions to ask him but I couldn't put my finger on one to ask. Finally after a few minutes of silence I was able to ask another question. I asked him if it hurt when a person was turned. By this time we had stopped in a beautiful clearing. He looked at me and answered my question by saying that he didn't know because he was born a vampire. I was at a loss for words at what he had just told me. I finally broke out of my daze and said. Wow I am sorry for jumping to conclusions about him. He just laughed and said that he totally understood. It was starting to get late and I said that we should get back so I can eat and then go to bed so I can be ready for graduation tomorrow. He said that he needed to get back home. But before we left he did the one thing that I was caught off guard. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I looked at him with a dumb look on my face and when I finally found my voice. I told him that I had to think about it and that I would give him an answer tomorrow. He said that he understood. We walked back to my house in comfortable silence. Mom saw us coming back and yelled out that dinner was ready. She asked Jason if he wanted to stay. He declined saying that he had to get back home. But before he left he told us that he would see us in the morning before I had to go to school and graduate. I thanked him for talking to me. He bent down and kissed me lightly on the lips. When he left I thought I would die because of the way I was feeling. I ate supper and then went to bed. I kept tossing and turning all night because of what happened between Jason and especially when he asked me to marry him.. I finally got a couple of hours of sleep when my mom walked in my room and sing songed to me that today is my graduation day. I looked at my clock and groaned. It was 8:00  in the morning on Saturday. Then I remembered that I am about to graduate but in like 5 hours not right this minute. I even reminded mom of that. She said that she knew that but that she had a surprise for me and that I should get up because she wanted me to get dressed and be ready to be pampered until Jason showed up. I said fine. I got up got dressed. When I got to the kitchen mom was already making breakfast. I grabbed a cup of coffee and sat down and waited for breakfast. She looked up and said. "Good morning sunshine. How did you sleep last night?" I told her the truth. I told her that I made a decision on what Jason asked me. She finished putting my food on my plate sat down and said. "Well what did you decide then?" I said that I would tell him yes I would marry him. She said that she was proud of me and that I was making the right decision. I told her thank you. After breakfast I helped with them. She said after that she was taking me to get my nails done and also my hair. She wanted me to look my best when I walked across the stage for graduation. I asked her about the party tonight but she said that we would get everything done well before it was time for it. We left the house and headed to the hair and spa salon in town. When we got there I looked at it and told my mom that I was getting nervous about graduating in just a few hours from then. She said that when she graduated she was just as nervous as I was and that it would pass. I told her thank you. After we got everything done we went back to the house and then she told me that she had another surprise for me. She went into her bedroom and brought out a bag told me to get undressed that she had a dress that I should wear. I was like hmm what is going on but kept it to myself. I did as was asked. She unzipped the bag and pulled out the most beautiful dress that I have ever seen. She helped me In to it and zipped up the back. And then disappeared again but when she came back she had a pair of heels to go with the dress. I looked at myself in the floor length mirror as she helped me into the shoes. I could not believe how I looked. I told her thank you. And just about the time I put the graduation gown on there was a knock on the front door Mon said that she would get it while I finished getting ready. I told her thanks.  She left. I could hear them talking in the living room. I grabbed the cap that I was supposed to wear for graduation and walked out to meet up with them.
