Letters [Yamaguchi Tadashi]

This is sorta similar with 'Passing Notes' but the girl is the one confessing.

Yamaguchi was a side-kick or Friend A. He was a wingman. And he always felt inferior to the team especially to Tsukishima. Don't get the wrong idea as he feels a strong sense of admiration for the taller male and for the other members, and he feels really special that they would choose to hang out with someone like him. But sometimes he feels deeply insecure. About his studies, volleyball and his apppearance (his freckles mostly).

Girls often confessed to Tsukishima, and most of the time, Yamaguchi gets dragged into it. For example, Tsukishima would ask Yamaguchi to reject a girl for him or some girls would ask Tsukishima about his thoughts for the girl. Which usually didn't end well. Not that Tsukishima cared, though Yamaguchi would feel bad for them.

Honestly, Yamaguchi doesn't mind all the girls who frolic around Tsukishima. Besides, he already has a certain someone on his mind anyway. Someone who is sweet and sees a person by their personality. Someone he knows would choose someone like him despite how they look.

"Yamaguchi-san!" You called while running up to him, your cheeks red.

Speak of the devil.

Yamaguchi turns around "What is it (Name)-san?" He couldn't help but blush as well. What? You are his crush after all. However, he couldn't help but wonder what is it that you wanted from him. Perhaps, you were gonna use him to get closer to Tsukishima. Tsukishima knows about Yamaguchi's little crush on you, so it was highly likely that he would reject you. At the thought of that, he became miserable, though he tried to not show it.

"H-here!" You exclaim, your hands extended towards him with your head down. Your hair slightly covered your face disappointing him a bit.

Yamaguchi's guess was answered when he saw a letter in your hands and his mood instantly worsened. Even Tsukishima gets that one girl Yamaguchi's fond of. He feels that it's unfair however he knows that it wasn't his nor your fault. Tsukishima was far too attractive for Yamaguchi's control.

Yamaguchi takes the letter from your hands. "No problem, I'll deliver this to Tsukki later!" He did a little salute despite the hurt he was feeling.

You look at him weirdly.

"No, silly. That's for you" you chuckle a bit, still blushing.

Yamaguchi looks down and sure enough, his name 'Yamaguchi Tadashi' was written in the front in a small handwriting.

"O-oh." He says, realizing how stupid he sounded when he accepted your letter.

An awkward silence surrounds you both before you clear your throat.

"U-um. Please give me your answer soon!" You bowed a hundred degrees, your face beet red before sprinting off to god-knows-where.

Watching your retreating figure, Yamaguchi smiles lightly-albeit the blush on his cheeks, once again looking down at your letter.

'Thank you, (Name)'

"Eh? So she gave you a love letter?" Tsukishima clarifies, a hint of interest in his voice.

"WHA-YAMAGUCHI YOU GOT CONFESSED TO?" Tanaka yells, bewildered.

"Uh...yeah. From (Name)-san." 

"SERIOUSLY? CONGRATS, MAN!" Nishinoya joins in, giving Yamaguchi a hard pat on the back.

"Congratulations, Yamaguchi." Chikara adds in.

"(Name)-san? Is it from that girl you've got a crush on?" Hinata asks, excitedly while jumping up and down.

"Obviously, you dumb-ass!" Kageyama insults, hitting Hinata on the head.

"OW!"

"You guys..." Asahi whispers as he puts his fingers to his lips.

"Sshhh! Daichi might hear!" Sugawara scolds.

"What was that? Yamaguchi got confessed to?" Daichi questions, putting his hands on his hips. He was surrounded by an aura of authorization.

"Eep. Y-yes, senpai." He blushes.

"So is this (Name)-san cute?" Takeda sensei, interjects.

"Um..."

Coach Ukai interrupts. "Hahaha. I bet she's a real beauty!"

"Hoho, you got that right, coach." Tanaka cheers.

"She's really cute." Kiyoko says, smiling at Yamaguchi.

"And nice!" Yachi adds.

"Woo! Looks like Yamaugchi hit the jackpot!" The two obnoxious 2nd years circle Yamaguchi cheering.

"P-please stop..."

~Somewhere else~

"Ah-Achoo!"

"Oh my, (Name)-san. Do you have a cold?" your mother asks, worriedly.

"I don't know, I just sneezed all of a sudden." you sniffed.
