*****Chapter 3 hope ya like it XD**

"Well hello there Missy I'm Sam, Sam Merlotte" said a male voice. I looked over and saw a man about 5'9 brown hair, brown eyes, fit and a scruffy beard. He smiled and held out his hand towards me. I politely smiled and shook his hand.

“Hi, I'm Scarlett, won't you sit down?" I gestured to the seat across from me. He nodded and sat down. Once he did I felt something telling me that he wasn't human.

“Did you just get in?" he asked as he got comfortable.

"Yeah, I got hungry and your bar is the first place I saw," I giggled. In my mind I felt his aurora but it was very calm like if he had strong animal instincts kinda like a dog, so I took it as a good thing that he meant no harm.

“Well if you just moved here, and you need a job I'll be more than happy to have you here on our staff." he smiled warmly.

"Oh Sam just because she says she just got here, doesn’t mean she'll want to work already. Said another voice. The voice came from a red headed waitress as she walked up to us. She had blue eye shadow and she was uber skinny too she was pretty and she looked kind.

"I wasn't going to enslave her 'Arlene' " he chuckled," I was just offering her a job" he smirked at her. She rolled her eyes and looked towards me.

“if he does get you to work for him, and you need anything you can ask me" she smiled" I'm Arlene and us red heads need to stick together" she laughed and I couldn't help but giggle. Did I mention that I have red hair?

" aw well that's very kind of you and Sam" I said looking towards him" I'll have to think about that offer." I smiled. “And if I do ill defiantly watch out for you too Arlene “I giggled. Sam was about to answer when I heard sookies voice.

“Sam Arlene are you forcing this poor girl to work here already" she joked, I noticed she was carrying my food as she walked our way. She was smiling but she stumbled and the food started to fall. Just as it almost reached the ground I caught it easily, but I pretend to make it seem like I was lucky.

"I'm so sorry," sookie said worriedly. I placed the food on the table and relaxed.

“Wow you have some fast reflexes sweetie" Arlene awed. I blushed.

"Oh well I used to be a waitress before, and I ended up learning go to catch things before they fall “I looked towards sookie “are you alright sookie? " I asked sincerely. Sam stood up and let her sit down for a bit.

"Yes thanks for catching that" she rubbed her arm.

"Well." he looked at me" we could use some of your fast reflexes around here, if you ever need a job" I looked at Sam and smirked.

"I'll defiantly think about it" I nodded. He waved and walked back towards the bar. I guess he was the bartender and the owner. Arlene smiled and walked away.

"You know" sookie whispered only to me. I looked over towards her and picked up my spoon "you were almost as fast as a" she paused.

"A what sweetheart?" I asked as I dipped my spoon in the bowl of chili. The aroma of it made my tummy growl even more.

"A vampire" she whispered. I couldn't help but laugh.

"You guys have those here?" I asked as I scooped up a spoon full of chili in my mouth. Gosh it was delicious!

"Didn't you ever here about the vampires coming out of the coffin two years ago?" she asked, I tilted my head, a part of me wanted to laugh at the way she said 'came out of the coffin' but the other part was struck by curiosity.

"Oh well I didn't think they'd be here, maybe in a bigger town?" I suggested, "Have you met any?" I asked her face lit up with a smile.

"Actually I was the first one to meet the very first vampire that came in to this town, he walked right in to this bar" she confidently said.

"Oh that's really cool, was he nice?" I asked and she nodded.

"Still is" she said I tilted my head to the side, and I'm guessing she knew I was a little confused. "He’s my boyfriend now" she smiled.

"How fascinating" I said guenunailly intrigued. "So are they really nice? I mean vampires or the ones you've met?" I asked

"well when I met him I ended up saving him, and he's done the same for me too, as for the other vampires I'm met. " she paused for a second thinking it over, I took this opportunity to eat a spoonful of this fantastic chili .

You'd expect some bars to make semi okay food but not this one. Sookie looked at me closely.

"Well the other ones I've met." she continued." some can be very bloodthirsty and others can be really very 'cocky' "She put emphasis on cocky. I smirked.

"I would figure most would be cocky." I finished off the chili and relaxed for a bit. She scoffed

"Well the one that comes to mind is Eric, he's arrogant, and he's got no nice bone in his body that's for sure. He ain't the nicest vampire you'll ever meet." she crossed her arms. I guessing he pissed her off then.

"Oh? Well that sucks." I frowned. I started thinking it over about the vampires. Arlene came around with a glass of water.

"Here sweetheart,I brought you some water just in case you were thirsty" she said while putting the glass down.

"thanks so much Arlene I really appreciate it." I smiled and took a sip and relaxed, she walked away happily. I started to get a small headache and saw sookie looking towards me, with that look again....
