Chapter 21

❤ Emily's POV ❤

"Come on, there's one more thing I want to do before the night ends." I told him laughing from all the excitement tonight. I pulled him along with me to where the Ferris Wheel was and made a giant 'ta-da' expression with my hands.

"Really? The Ferris Wheel?" He said raising his eyebrows at me questioningly, in an 'are-you-serious?' kind of way. I happened to love the Ferris Wheel, who doesn't? Except maybe if you were Acrophobic and I knew for a fact that he was not. "Yes, the Ferris Wheel. I love Ferris Wheels."

"Fine, do I at least get to kiss you when we are at the top?" He asked pulling me against his chest, closing any gap between us. I wrapped my arms around him and place my lips next to his ear, whispering in my most sexy voice. "Do you even have to ask? See you at the top."

The Ferris Wheel started ascending slowly, I savored every moment on it, with him. A small but a pretty lake came into view and I bent over our car trying to get a better look at it. The city lights shone on the water surface, illuminating the lake. I've always wanted to live by the ocean or at least a lake. Surrounded by the peace and tranquility of Mother Nature, relaxing on a hammock reading a good book.

It was really breathtaking from up here, we could see the entire fair! It was lit up brightly in pinks, purples, oranges and yellows. Laughter and music floated up the air. Stars blazed in the night sky as it blushed purple. The moon was high and everything bathed in its beautiful light.

I couldn't help but look at everything in awe, it was like I was seeing the world for the first time. It kind of reminded of Jasmine and Aladdin on the magic carpet above the streets of Agrabah singing 'A Whole New World.'

"Look, everything's beautiful from up here!" I said excitedly letting out a contented sigh. I turned to the side when I felt Aaron's intense gaze on me.

"Yeah, it is." He said looking me straight in the eye. I blushed hiding my face behind the curtain of my hair. Him, this, us it will never get old, being with him will never get old. The way he makes me will never change, every time we're together it feels like the first time. The very first time I saw him in the cafeteria and our eyes met. We came so far from that.

"Aren't you being cheesy today?" I teased him still avoiding his gaze. He tucked my a strand of my hair behind my ear and cupped my cheek. My breath caught in my throat as he leaned in and locked our lips in a soft, slow, passionate kiss. I ran my hands through his hair moving closer to him, practically sitting on his lap. It was like we had all the time in the world, just the two of us. The noise coming from the carnival, the indistinct chatter, the lights, the world faded away. Everything was perfect at that moment and we were the only two people on this Earth.

"I would be anything you want me to be, for you Angel. The night isn't over yet, my love." Aaron said once we got off the ride, interlacing our fingers together. I let him lead me to wherever he was taking me while holding onto my penguin tightly, a reminder of this great night.

"Where are we going? The car is that way." I said frowning when he started leading us in a direction opposite to the one we came from.

"I know, trust me, Angel." Aaron said with a small smile. I do trust you, it thought to myself. I trusted him with my life and more. I gasped as we reached the lake which I saw from on top of the Ferris Wheel. A dock came into view, it was lit up by tea light candles placed along the side. We sat down on the checkered blanket placed on the edge of the dock.

"Aaron, I-I this-this is beautiful. I don't know what to say." I said amazed at everything he did for our date.

"I'm glad you like it Angel but this has nothing on you." He said caressing my cheek softly. I leaned into his touch and smiled at his cheesy compliment. "Did I tell you how beautiful you look tonight?"

"Yes, you did. You didn't have to do so much for me." I told him. He retracted his hand, a frown etched on his face.

"What do you mean, I didn't have to? I wanted this night to be perfect. I'd do anything for you. I'd give you world if you asked me to. You deserve that and more." Aaron whispered resting his forehead against mine and I gazed into his ocean blue eyes filled with love, so much love. Like they say, eyes really are the windows to one's soul.

"I don't need the world Aaron, just you. As long as you're with me, I don't need anything else." I whispered against his lips. He pushed the back of my head forward to meet his soft lips. I kissed back slowly trying to savor the moment not wanting it to go away but we were only human and we needed to breathe. "I love you."

"I love you too Angel, more than you can imagine." He said grinning at me widely and I couldn't help but grin back with the same intensity. He loved me and I loved him, it shouldn't have taken us this long to say it to each other but I was happy we confessed now. "Did you have fun today?"

"Are you kidding me! I had an amazing time today! Thank you so much for doing this Aaron. It means a lot to me." I said excitedly waving my hands around indicating just how much I loved coming here. He just shot me one of his heart-stopping boyish smirks in reply.

"Would you like to dance, my Lady?" Aaron asked in a fake British accent and bowed down. I curtsied the best I could while giggling. "Why of course I do, good Sir."

Aaron pulled out his sleek black iPhone 7 from his back pocket. I waited patiently wondering what song he would choose. My eyes widened when Ed Sheeran's Thinking Out Loud started playing. Damn! This boy has a good taste in music, I thought smiling to myself.

Aaron held out his hand for me to take with a boyish smirk lighting up on his face, I nodded smiling goofily and placed my hand in his. He twirled me around, lifted me up by the waist and put me down, all with ease.

"How are you this good at dancing?" I voiced out my question when I was no longer able to contain my curiosity. I really didn't picture him as a guy that likes to dance. I learned to dance when was six, my mom forced my brothers and me to take dance lessons.

"That, my love, is a secret. How are you this good at dancing?" He asked raising his eyebrows at me as he twirled me into his arms and holding me in that position.

"I actually took dance lessons along with my brothers when I was six." I said blushing, just being around him had me blushing like a tomato. Growing up with two older brothers, I didn't want to do many girly things but not my mother, she wanted me to. She somehow coaxed me into taking ballroom dance classes and ballet. Now, I was glad she made me. It wasn't like I hated dancing, I just never really wanted to take the time of the day to learn.

He suddenly went for a dip and I leaned back trying to follow his lead. I locked my leg around his, supporting myself so that I wouldn't fall, not that he would ever let me fall. At least not alone. He held us in that position looking into my hazel eyes, his eyes drifted to my lips and back up again, waiting. I nodded as he closed the distance between us and brought his lips down on mine. I kissed him back passionately, neither of us wanting to be the first to pull away.

"You're absolutely perfect Angel." Aaron whispered against my lips, his beautiful blue eyes shining love and adoration. I felt like the luckiest girl on the planet, to have him as mine and my wolf gladly agreed with me. You too, you too Aaron, I thought to myself.

A perfect end to a perfect night.
