Jack POV

Out of all the things that changed about Kelsey in three years, I was happy that she was still a heavy sleeper. I glided my fingers along her bare arms and she didn't even stir. Her breaths came out evenly through slightly parted lips and her hair was fanned out around her, the dark color contrasting with my white pillows. It's only the second night she's been in my bed and I was certain I never wanted her to leave. We were away from the world in our small cave of sheets, limbs, and touches. I wanted to ignore that Kelsey had a flight later tonight. I didn't want to face the reality that was making my chest heavy—she was going back to New York. Yesterday we ignored her impending departure and stayed wrapped up in one another. But today was her last day and I couldn't imagine letting her go. Just the mere thought of us separating caused me to reach over and engulf her body in my arms. Her warm skin lit mine on fire and my arms around her waist tightened when she pressed her nose to my chest, snuggling closer.

I don't know how I once thought tour would be better or more important than this, but nothing could compare to seeing her brown eyes open in the morning, clouded with sleep and drunkenly mumbling nonsense in her semi-conscious state. She was everything, my everything and I knew I had to make sure that she stayed mine.

I caressed the side of her face as I memorized each light freckle and the curve of her lips. I took all of her in, not having a definite time of when I was going to see her like this next.

Kelsey's feather-light voice filled my ears, her eyes still shut. "You're staring at me."

I smirked and placed my flat palm on her stomach. "You entice me, Kelsey Jennings."

She snorted and opened her eyes. "Where did you steal that line from?"

I repositioned my body so I was hovering above her and whispered against her lips, "I have to come up with new words to keep you interested." I leaned down to steal a kiss, but Kelsey teasingly turned her head to the side. "I'm only interested in three words."

I instantly knew what she was talking about and acknowledged that she wasn't going to let me get anywhere near her lips until I said them. I played some games of my own. My right hand drifted down the lace at the top of her underwear. "I." I paused to kiss her collarbone. "Love." I traveled further down and planted my lips right above her breast. Kelsey's legs squeezed around my hips. "You." I didn't get a chance to kiss the spot I ached for because Kelsey dragged my head up to hers and captured my mouth against hers. I might have been on top of her, but she was undoubtedly in control. I would do anything for her and anything to her.

Our kiss was a clash of tongue, teeth, and swollen lips. It was vibrant, out of control, relentless, and hypnotic. It was messy, passionate, devouring. Fuck, it was Kelsey. With only scraps of lace and briefs separating us from being naked, our pulsating bodies and mutual electricity threatened to set my rumpled sheets on fire. I practically whimpered against her mouth when her nails clawed into my hair and my back. "Stay."

Kelsey flipped us over and now she was the one gazing down at me. She trailed her addictive lips down my chest and I couldn't stop myself from elaborating further as she wiggled her hips to get a better position on top of me. "Don't go back to New York."

Kelsey froze and sat up straight, withdrawing her hands and her lips from my body. A few wrinkles appeared on her forehead and she looked at me with fire in her eyes, and not the kind that we had just been creating moments ago. "What?"

I knew she wanted me to take back what I said, but I refused. It was the truth. I wanted her to stay. "Move in with me. Here. We can be together."

Kelsey's eyebrows came together and her eyes turned a little darker. "You know I have to go back."
