I walked with a bunch of roses in my hand as the sun crept out of clouds

Other days I would have admired and expressed my affection towards mother nature

Other days I would never have a flower near me!

But today was different

I walked to a stone carved with

I kept roses on his grave and stared at it

"Hey dada" that was what I called my dad
"How is everything up there? Did you meet Jesus? Remember how I use to complain in church that I will pray only after I see Jesus? " I paused for a chuckle " wanted to tell you that now I pray without complaining because I don't have you any more... I and Ronald started talking by the way! Didn't know why he didn't talk all these years and I wouldn't ask because what if he won't talk after that! My education is finally ending and I am gonna work! Your little girl has grown up a lot, dada, wish you were there to witness! You were here to hold my hand! To tell me what's wrong and what's right! To scold me when I am wrong, to cheer me when I am correct. To interrogate the boyfriend of mine if I bring home! Though I have never had any and you know it but you know someday " I broke into cry "I miss you a lot, dada, I miss you! It is all my fault! I should be there instead of you! It was me who was suppose to be dead not you!"

I was holding my dad's hand as we were crossing the road with bags in our hands from supermarket. I wasn't a kid, I was 10 years old, but I loved my dad too much to let his hand go
Looking back at it, looks like he loved me too because he was holding my hand tight
It was night time and there was almost nobody on the road - perks of staying in a small town
"So, what does my little angel want for her birthday?" my father asked

My birthday was 3 weeks after - I was gonna turn 10

"I want your watch" I said

"Why?" he asked

"Because when I will be big like you then I'll wear that watch" I answered him

"That you can ask me when you grow up, little angel, what would you like for this birthday?"

I thought for a moment and looked down that's when I noticed that one bag in my hand was missing.

I looked back in panic and saw that it was fallen in between the road

I sighed and ran to pick up the bag leaving my dada's hand
I raced to it and bend down to pick up

But I didn't know that I was too late to observe a car approaching me

Suddenly I was thrown and my body hit the ground I tried looking for my dad but all I saw was a body lying on the road and then black

I woke up in hospital after four weeks and found out dad was no more
