"Elle, I would like to pay the bill" he leaned even more against the counter
"Cash or card" I breathed out
"cash" he smirked
That ass knew what effect he had on me but still...
After paying he went back and continued his 'meeting' and I continued my cleaning
After I was done I sat down on a chair behind the counter and opened my phone waiting for these guys to leave
"Mr Danvers, I think the stocks will reach to your New York base by maximum next to next Friday"
"No, I want it there by max this Friday. And the way it's done is none of my concern" his voice was harsh and cold
For the first time I had seen him being so rude and cold heated
His eyes flickered to mine then again went back to his meeting partner
I know it very well that he is reading my thoughts right now

He suddenly chocked on his drink and looked at me, amused
"Are you okay, Mr Danvers?" one of the guy asked
"I am fine" he answered then looked at me and added "maybe somebody cursed me"

"Yeah right! And that's me" I wanted to shout but I kept quite
"Okay, gentlemen, the meeting is done" he concluded
They practically run out the coffee shop while Ashton sat there starting at me
I walk to the table collecting the cups and go to kitchen to keep it in the sink
Suddenly I feel arms sipping around my waist as he whispers in my ears "I missed you"
I šlap his hands playfully and he removes it

"Not my fault! I hadn't asked you to go for a week" I turn and lean against the counter
He couldn't even tell me
He sighed then says "I was busy"
"So busy that you didn't even get time to message?" I asked him sweetly
"I was packed with deals. First I had to go from here to Europe then Germany and then Grease. It was one hell of long business trip"
Suddenly I remembered someone "So, was that secretary of your with you?"
"No, I fired her on that after she mistreated you that way. Now i have got a new-"

"What! What is she doing now!? Without salary?" I got worried
Unemployment could be so difficult!
"I give a damn about her" he growled
"Anyway" he sighed "Can I have a cup of your world famous latte?"
"Go wait outside" I commanded
"Nah! I would love to watch you make it"
I rolled my eyes at him then walked past him and started making his requirement
He watched in silence as it got ready
We Walked outside and he sat down with me next to his chair sitting and the cup infront of him
"Hmmm" escaped his mouth as he took a sip "this really is nice"
"Thanks" I smiled
I took juice bottle from the fridge and started sipping
"I am sorry" Ashton said
To which I ended up spraying the whole content of my juice on his shirt
I looked at him and he looked at me completely annoyed
I just grinned at him
"It isn't my fault! You, the Ashton Danvers said sorry! At least you should have waited till I finish my juice. But no, you wanted to tell wh-"
I was cut off with the door opening and in walked a very familiar blond with a button up shirt in his hand
"Hello doll" Lucus smirked
Ashton glared at him to which he smiled guiltily
"Restroom?" Ashton asked
After grabbing t-shirt from Lucus he went to my directed place
"Did I disturb your date, Cara Mia?" he asked
"No, we were just..." What were we exactly doing? "...talking and drinking coffee"
"Ah, I see. And how is two people talking and drinking coffee not called date?"
"I.." I thought but was interrupted the great blue eyed monster
"Go do your work Lucus!" he commanded
Lucus just bowed his head and walked out.

He sat down on his chair
"Sorry for what?" I asked
"For not giving you sometime to adjust to all of it" he smiled at me - the real sweet sorry smile
"You should have understood that this is very new for me"
"I have never been with a guy like this! Wit-"
"To which I am thankful for" he smirked
"With my friends and brother sure. But this is very new foreign thing. And upon that a werewolf's mate who happens to be the king of the werewolf world! That makes me queen! I am just a human for god's sake Ashton! I don't know if I can handle it. They will hate me for being an outsider"
Ashton pulled me in his lap but didn't stop me so I continued
"What if I'll have to fight someone and I get killed! Sure I know some basic self defense techniques but it sure won't work on werewolves! What if one of your past girlfriend or female wolves get jealous and try killing? What if you hate me after some days and leave me forever! What is you try destroying me? What will I do!"

"You said it yourself Elle that you are their queen so they will respect you. Even if they don't after knowing you are their queen they will respect you for what good person you are. As far you being a human I can change that but I know you don't want to change yourself. Fighting? I will always be there with you and even if I am not then I will come to know from your thoughts and inform the nearest faithful werewolf to rescue you like I did to Lucus. Girlfriend? I have never had one. Girls in bed, sure, but girlfriend? None! And as far as she-wolf (female wolf) is concerned I'll always be there with you. You are my mate, Elle, they know better then to get involved with The Royal Alpha itself. And leaving you! You really think I would leave you and go? You are the first to fight with me and challeng me! You are the only person whom I have asked sorry to. You are the only one who can survive with me and I know it that we are capable of being together. Luna goddess choose you for me and I now know for what. You are the one who could murder me with a bullet and I wouldn't say anything"
"Can I ask you some things?" I smiled at him
"Sure, my love"
"How did you become a werewolf? Like some problem with your DNA or something?"
"It comes through genes. Problem? It's a blessing, my love" he answered
"Can you stop reading my mind and what I feel?"
"Yes, and I know you want me to but you need to know that it's too risky so I won't"
"Okay" I nodded "Let's make a deal. You can read what I feel when I am not in your sight and start reading my mind when you feel something is wrong but don't read my mind or what I feel when I am in your sight. It's not fair to misuse your powers" I reasoned
"Fair enough, we have a deal which implies from tomorrow" he agreed
"Thanks" I flashed him my great smile "Now the last thing and you can't say no to this, okay?"
He nodded
"Provide me a bullet to kill you" I chuckled
He chuckled too and brought his hand to my waist but I stoped him
"No, no, no, no, no, no! No to touching my waist!"
"Okay, Elle" he looked annoyed
"Sorry, that's my weak point"
"It's fine"
