Lily's P.O.V
Tears were welling up in my eyes. Not being able to process anything in my brain I fell into James' arms sobbing. Thinking nothing else could go wrong I saw Dumbledores face pale. "Albus what's going on?" I asked once I slightly composed myself.

"He appears to not believe us. Harry thinks that this is some horrible joke being played on him." Before I could say anything he held up a finger and spoke again. "Soul bond. New case. Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley" Dumbledore said casting a patronus that flew away.

"Wait what? Soul bond!" my voice was rising very quickly. "With who? When?" I asked.

"Her name is Ginny Weasley. They have been together over the summer and he just told me about it on our way here." Dumbledore responded.

"What's a soul bond?" James asked. I rolled my eyes.

"It's when two souls literally bond. It lets them share their strength, knowledge, talk to each other in their head, dream together, they also can kind of heal each other, and they are seen as married in the ministry's eyes when they are both at least 15 years old." I said.

"Why didn't I know what it was?"James asked.

"Because the last case wasn't since the 1400s!" I exclaimed.

"Wait so why is it a bad thing?" James asked.

"Most pairs end up dying quickly and if one person dies then the other is basically still alive but with only half a soul." Dumbledore explained.

"As they grow older they are going to feel an emotional pull to each other so if they don't see and touch each other for a while they will get sick." I said.

"I will probably give Ginny a test to see if she can skip a year of school to be in more classes with Harry." Dumbledore said. "You guys should rest now. I will be calling her parents to come and visit me so I can tell them about it." Dumbledore said.

"Okay" James said. We turned around and left back to our room. After we got ready for bed I snuggled into James' chest and cried. He just held me there.

"Did you see his face? When he came in? He didn't even really recognize us. Except from maybe some pictures. He doesn't even believe us! I don't...what are we supposed to do?" I sobbed.

"We need to believe that in time he will come to realize that he's wrong. He needs someone to be there for him." James said softy.  A few wet drops fell on my head from him. Eventually with tear stained faces we fell asleep.
