KHALEESAH'S POV

I tried to keep my smile intact, urging him to go on.

"As a father, I have responsibilities and duties upon my children. And among them are many. I truly hope I've made the right choice regarding your future." At his words my smile disappeared replacing itself with a frown. My future? I wish he wasn't going to tell what I felt he would tell.

His next words made my heart beats increase to a whole new level.

"We have found a guy for you!"

I could feel Abi's gaze on my face, scrutinizing every inch of it. I tried to keep my face neutral, fighting the blush forming. My palms were getting clammy and I was flustered. I wouldn't say I didn't expect this, but hearing Abi utter the words scared me.

"He is from Appa's family and you know him." As he said this, my mind became a mess, wondering whom he was referring to. All options ran in my mind until it stopped in one. Can it be him? I wondered. Again I tried thinking but this time mind wouldn't budge.

It was like my mind knew what I myself didn't. Now it became even more hard for me to keep my face neutral, not after I had a slight idea who it might be. I tried my best to act oblivious.

"Maybe you can guess who it is!"

No. Not in my wildest dreams would I utter it.

Even if I had an idea, I would never tell it out loud. What if I was wrong? That would be the most humiliating and embarrassing moment in my life. And what would Abi think if I had actually guessed it right? Ya Allah! I didn't even want to think of the outcome. So, I did the only sensible thing at that moment.

"No." I told Abi.

It was getting harder for me to speak. Controlling the blush on your face wasn't easy and forming words at the same time is close to impossible. Especially when you felt like your heart was going to come out of your chest at any second.

"He has done 'aat' and will finish his training in about a year. In shaa Allah." Abi went on to tell his qualifications. "Masha Allah, he is a very talented boy."

I kept listening to Abi without making a single comment on what he was saying.

"Masha Allah, even their family is so good. I'm certain you'll be very happy among them. In shaa Allah!"

"In shaa Allah!" Ummi said while I whispered to it.

Now, my thoughts were almost confirmed. He was the one. No doubt.

"Don't you want to know who it is?"

"Who?" My voice was hardly audible.

"He is my aunt Yumna's son, Yaasir." Abi announced smiling.
