Seeing Bucky Barnes in the library is a sight not many have witnessed.
But he's with you and Steve, having trailed along after skipping class.
"I don't know why you miss so much class," Steve says to Bucky, who's balancing a pencil on his nose. "You come to school everyday, yet you're failing in your courses. Come on, Buck. Put some effort into it."
You nod, blowing a bubble absently as you flip a page.
Bucky sighs, drops the pencil and reaches out across the table for a piece of gum.
But you place your hand in his and his cheeks immediately burn red.
"Buck? What's- oh."
He doesn't say anything as he puts his head down and holds onto your hand tighter.
"Well, it's about time."
