Jade outwardly groaned as she felt the small drops hit the top of her head. The rain wasted no time as it progressed, and soon, large, heavy drops of rain were peppering Jade's body. Jade shrugged off her already-wet jacket and held it over her head, hoping to impair the path of at least some of the rain so she wouldn't be drenched to the bone by the time she made it home.

Soon, almost out of nowhere, Jade saw a familiar blonde head of hair bobbing up and down as the girl jogged to meet her. She stopped just shy of a couple meters in front of her, smiling.

"Aye, Jade. What're you doing out in the rain? You'll get sick!" Perrie greeted, quickly wrapping her arm around Jade's torso. "Come on, I gotta get home too, so we should probably walk together. After all, we live in the same flat." She chuckled, rubbing Jade's side soothing with one hand and wildly gesturing with the other.

"Sure. I don't see why not." Jade joked, shivering from the cold rain. Perrie quickly took notice of this and wrapped Jade's arm across her shoulders, pulling the two girls closer together.

"Better?" Perrie quietly asked, glancing at Jade's waterlogged clothes.

"Mhm." She hummed, sighing happily as warmth fled into her body.

As soon as the two girls reached their flat, Jade made a mad dash for their bedroom, eager to get her hands on some warm clothes, specifically, clothes that weren't soaked to the brim with water.

"Aye, slow down there Jade. I don't want ya trippin' and busting your butt on the floor." Perrie scolded from the doorway, lightly chuckling as she entered the home. Jade waved her off and fled to the bathroom, drawing a hot bath to relieve her numbed body. She hissed in pain when the brushed her fingertips along the surface of the water and found it to be close to boiling temperature, draining some of the water and setting it to a much cooler temperature.

"Perrie, I'm gettin' in the bath. I'll be out in a good half hour or so." Jade called out, gratified when she heard a muffled "alright" ring out from the general area surrounding the kitchen.

Jade quietly exited the bathroom and walked to the den, expecting to see Perrie sprawled across the sofa, watching whatever show she was addicted to this time. Needless to say, she was utterly confused when she found the exact opposite. Perrie wasn't anywhere within the vicinity of the sofa or the kitchen, which left two possible places for her to be. Jade's office, sneaking looks at her art portfolio, or their bedroom, sleeping soundly, chest vibrating as soft snores tumbled from her pink lips.

Jade expected the latter, heading towards the bedroom first. Perrie wasn't conked out on their bed like she expected, and there was no evidence that she had been in the room within the last half hour. So, Jade grumpily headed towards her office, wholeheartedly prepared to scream at someone, when she found Perrie sketching something at her desk, her eyebrows furrowed in deep concentration.

Jade quietly strode up beside Perrie, glancing down at her drawing. It was magnificent, although, not nearly as magnificent as her own, seeing as she had been through at least six years worth of art classes in her time, but magnificent nonetheless. Each curve was drawn elegantly, each line shaped perfectly, so much so that it was almost possible to see the figure moving on the page. Her art, however inexperienced or rough it may have been, held so much character and personality that Jade was taken aback to the point where she almost let a gasp escape from between her lips.

"Wow..." Jade breathed, her eyes speedily scanning over the page again and again. "That's... It's great. Why aren't you doing an art major, Perrie?"

"Never really been interested enough in it to want to. I prefer writing, honestly. Seeing your characters come to life in such a way that people actually relate to them? Now that's a true feat in my book. That's not to say that art isn't, in it's own way, a form of writing. They always say a picture is worth a thousand words. But art can tell a story through paint strokes and pen marks and graphite smudges. It can convey a deep meaning without anyone even realizing it. Art truly is a magnificent way to secretly tell a story." Perrie explained, her eyes still focused on the sketch she was working on.

"What inspired you to draw us?" Jade questioned, fondly smiling at the drawing of the two of them, Jade's arms wrapped around Perrie's side and Perrie's head nuzzling comfortably in Jade's neck.

"It's something close to me, so it's easier to picture in my mind and create on a page. I don't have to pull from sources that I don't recognize, or fabricate from things I've never seen. We are something I experience every day. I have many memories I can recreate, and many more I can fabricate from the depths of my mind."

Jade simply nodded and rested her hand on Perrie's shoulder, smiling. "Wanna cuddle? I'm still awfully cold from that rain."
