Hello! Your next tip is:
DON'T WRITE RUN-ON SENTENCES!
I mean, imagine this. A librarian is trying to read the kids a book. There's a run-on sentence. So she keeps on reading until she can't anymore because she used all her breath.
Example: I went to school and my teacher taught me to write so now I can write thanks to my teacher and pie is good and monkeys eat bananas!
Correct example: I went to school and my teacher taught me to write. Now i can write thanks to my teacher. Pie is good, and monkeys eat bananas!
I know. That's a weird sentence fixed or not...
Anyway, my teacher once said that if it has more than one and, then it's a run-on. Remember: USE PUNCTUATION! Add commas to your sentences so that the poor librarian can take a breath. Or, better yet, just add periods! Trust me. People will like your stories more if they don't die trying to read them!
