"I just don't understand why you didn't just sign up to the police academy instead." Maggie said, munching on a packet of chips, watching me punch a bag. "You seriously could have."

I took another punch and wiped the sweat off my forehead with my arm. "Because," I panted, trying to catch my breath, "I wanted to get a little insight on what crime is actually like."

She shrugged just as the rest of our group joined us. "I knew she'd be here." Jason muttered, a taking seat next to Maggie and wrapping his arm about Norrie as she took a seat next to him.

I continued to punch the bag, using every force I had within me. Class started soon and I needed the distraction before I began to do another year of studying. "Well, she kept nagging at me about finding the gym so we went on an adventure and found it."

"Bad idea." Cam came in and stole Maggie's chips, sitting next to her.

"Hey!" She snatched them back and continued to eat them. "You can't take what's mine."

I kicked the bag once more before stopping and staring at my friends who couldn't seem to shut it. "Guys, can't I get five minutes of peace!" I hit the bag again, making it swing away from me.

They all laughed, making me even angrier. "And she speaks." Jason commented.

"I'm about to punch your face so hard that you'll swallow your own teeth." I spat while tightening the hair tie that held my hair up.

"Class starts in five minutes for us," Norrie added while getting up, "we should get going and maybe we'll all learn to get along." She looked to me and Jason with a glare.

Jason and I had that love hate relationship. It could be a joke at times but most of the time, I really meant it. "We still have another hour." I said, punching the bag more and grunting as my fist connected with the swinging bag.

"I ain't waiting around here for an hour," Maggie said, chewing on a chip, "I'll save you a seat." She said just as Jason and Norrie left but Cam stayed behind.

"Don't," I stopped him before he said anything else, "don't say anything else."

He put his hands up in surrender. "I wasn't going to."

Liar, I thought. "Yeah, right."

Once Cam finally left me in peace, a figure stood in front of my punching bag. By now, sweat was pouring off my face and my face felt hot. "Do you mind?" I raised my eyebrows at the person standing in my way.

"Thought you might need someone to hold the bag." It was defiantly a male, his voice was deep and I noticed his bulky arms. I tilted my head to see a guy my age wearing a singlet and gym shorts. He had black hair that was filled with sweat and he smiled sweetly at me.

"Uh, I'm fine." I said, going into fight position and I began punching the bag again but this stranger didn't go away and I began to get really pissed off. He held the bag anyway. "I don't need you to hold the bag, I've got it!" I stopped punching the bag and moved around to face him. He was more good looking up close but that still didn't make me less angry.

"You seem like you do this a lot," he smiled, crossing his arms over his chest, I was glad he wasn't holding my punching bag anymore.

I sighed and ran my hands through my hair. "Yeah, if I'm not studying it's all I do."

He nodded and extended his hand. "I'm Noah Riley."

I kind of wanted to slap his hand away and to tell him to leave me alone but that would be rude. "Alexis." I said, folding my arms.

He nodded again and took his hand away. "What classes are you taking?"

I looked from one end of the room to the other and backed away slowly. "That is non of your business. I gotta go." I turned around, grabbed my things and headed out the door.
