My Promise To You [COMPLETE]

Chapter 4: Reunion

"(N/N)...chan..."

You heard a familiar voice. No, two very familiar voices. Their smell was the same. Petrified, you slowly turned your head to the direction of the sound. It was them.

"S-Sting-kun...Rogue-kun...?" You stammered. Your eyes were pricked with tears and they were focused on them.

You examined both of the boys. Sting still had his spiky, blonde hair, but he had one crystal earing hanging from his left ear. He wore a blue vest with a white T-shirt and brown shorts. Rogue had grown out dark hair that covered one of his crimson-colored eyes. He wore a black cloak with a yellowish pattern and a gray t-shirt underneath. Everything else was still black.

"Sting-kun, Rogue-kun? Hello? Earth Land to the twins!" A red exceed with a white vest came through with a green exceed in a pink frog costume. Then he turned to look at you and Eris, and he had a huge smile on his face.

"I was right! She looks down-right gorgeous!" He cried out, emphasizing the word gorgeous. You immediately turned red and tried to hide it with your scarf.

"Fro thinks so too!" The other exceed shouted. "Lector, do you know who she is?"

"Nope," Lector said, popping the "p".

"(Y/N)-chan...are these the two you have been looking for for the past five years?" Eris asked you with concern.

He tugged your sleeves and waved his arms on your face. You neglected his question and ran up to both of them. They put their arms out, ready to embrace a hug. You stuck both your arms out, and wrapped your arms tightly around their necks.

"ACK! What is she doing to Sting-kun?!" Lector shrieked.

"It's been awhile, (N/N)-chan," Sting softly reminded you in your ears.

"Also, please stop choking us. You might kill us both," Rogue chuckled.

You immediately let go of them and they had to take a breather. After heaving, they looked up at you and smiled. You started giggling at them both while blushing.

"It's great to see you again. How are you both doing?" You asked them with a friendly grin.

"Well, after you left, we missed you very much. We trained very hard so that when we met again, we would be able to protect you," Rogue explained.

"But...after a year, our dragons told us to kill them. Weisslogia told me that if I was a true dragon slayer, I would have to kill him and find you," Sting whispered in a bitter way, making sure that their exceeds wouldn't hear them.

"Skiudrum was sick, so I helped put him out of his misery. He also told me to look for you, (N/N)-chan..." Rogue had a crestfallen look on his face.

It just got depressing from one to a hundred real quick.

So, you told them about your life, how Mizura disappeared. You told them that you were in a strong guild, but you didn't tell them the name of it. They seemed to be impressed and so told you that they joined a guild called Sabertooth. They explained to you about how they found their exceeds and Lector, Frosch, and Eris became great friends by the time you were done telling stories.

The thing that bothered you the most was that both of them wanted to defeat your brother and Gajeel in front of everyone. Sting admired Natsu, and Gajeel used to be Rogue's mentor but then stopped taking lessons when he had joined Fairy Tail.

The old man came walked up to you and gave you two days to defeat the monsters. He led you to a large, destroyed town below a valley with tiny, black auras swarming all over the area.
