Chapter 9: Fiore's Guilds

"Good luck out there, min'na," you encouraged everyone while patting Natsu's back. You were near the doors that opened to the arena, waiting for the guilds to be called.

"But listen to all that cheering," Erza said. There w many people screaming and cheering for the guilds. Most of the were probably non-magic users.

"Yeah...there's so many people." Lucy sweat dropped.

"Why do we have to wear these clothes? I want to wear normal clothes like nee-chan," Natsu complained.

All of you looked at him, raising an eyebrow. The only thing that they had seen you wearing was a silvery cloak that covered your entire body other than your feet.

"Stop whining, onii-chan. Gramps said you have to wear matching team colors," you reminded him. He whined even more and Lucy nodded her head.

You looked over to Erza and Gray.

"I like my clothes. It's fashionable." Erza had a smug look on her face.

"I do too," Gray replied, even though he wore nothing but pants.

You and Lucy looked at each other and rolled your eyes. Your (E/C) orbs landed on Elfman, and you couldn't help but giggle a bit. As for Natsu, was laughing at him and pointing.

Wendy has been in the infirmary, ever since you and Eris had found her, so you didn't have anything for Elfman to wear. All you had was Wendy's small dress that she was supposed to wear. Team Natsu had not been notified until Elfman had mentioned it.

"Wendy!" Natsu called out to her as he barged in through the infirmary doors. "Where did you guys find her?!"

"Eris, Happy, and Lisanna found Carla and her in the Crocus Garden," you informed them.

"Where were you at that time?" Lucy asked.

You sighed, "I was approached by Sabertooth."

"WHAT?!" Natsu was shocked.

"Natsu, be quiet!" Lucy scolded him. She faced you. "Did anything happen?"

You shook your head, but avoided their gaze. You touched your cheek with the hand Sting kissed, placing it over the spot where Rogue placed his lips. You replied, "Nothing I couldn't handle..."

Wendy groaned, her eyes fluttering open. She looked over to the rest of you, who had watched over her carefully.

"(Y/N)-chan, Natsu-san," she addressed you quietly.

"What happened to you?" Natsu asked.

She apologized and said that she couldn't remember anything. As soon as she said that, Porlyusica walked in the room, telling all of you that Wendy had Magic Deficiency Disease. It was caused by a huge loss of magic, which makes your bodies physical strength weaker.

"With (Y/N)'s healing spells, both of them will be able to recover. They need a lot of rest," Porlyusica informed.

"I don't remember clearly, but I do recall seeing a small, black creature," Wendy muttered and she began to weep. "I-I'm sorry, everyone. Even after training... I wasn't able to be part of the team. Elfman-san, you can take my place."

'What's the point of me being a reserved member?' You sighed, pulling the hood up, and walked out of the infirmary towards the Fairy Tail booth that looked over the arena.

Eris was there in his human form, sitting over the edge of the booth with Happy and Pantherlily. You leaned over the edge to get a better look at the area where the battles were supposed to begin.
