Chapter 35: Voice

"Answer me! What the hell did you do?!" The boy demanded in such anger, it made you feel guilty.

Mard Geer said nothing. You just stared at him in confusion, but at the same time, you felt as if you knew him, as if he was one of the closest living beings you had cared about.

"If you don't answer me, I'll make you," he growled. He was seething in pure hatred, that you had felt it from afar.

"Ohime-sama, please wait here," Mard Geer told you. He let go of your wrist, and he walked forward with his smirk.

"You better be careful, Eris," Rogue warned him.

"Yeah. When (N/N)-chan gets her memories back and you're hurt, she'll get pissy," Sting snickered.

"I suppose you are the one who I will have fun with," Mard Geer said.

"All three of you, shut your face hole! I'm going to kill this asshat," he points at Mard Geer and then the two boys, "and then you two are next! Now, you have a job to do. Go get'er!"

He then hung his head down low, whispering, "I will get you back, even if it kills me."

Eris lifted his head, and his eyes had shown many emotions; regret, anger, sadness, you name it. He was surely pissed off. Noted that his swearing got worse and worse that more he spoke.

"Let's dance." Eris beckoned Mard Geer to come after him.

As Mard Geer slowly approached him, Eris ran up to him with such speed, the human eye wouldn't catch up with him. He slammed his hand onto Mard Geer's face towards the stone ground. Mard Geer snapped his fingers, and white plant vines rose from the ground and nearly pierced through Eris.

"You missed!" He shouted.

"Did I?" Mard Geer muttered through Eris' hand.

Eris looked back and the vines were growing longer. It was chasing after him once he started running away from it. He managed to get closer to Mard Geer, kicked his legs to make him fumble, and grabbed him by the shirt, pulling the demon towards his own vines. With the flick of his wrist, Mard Geer's vines stopped mid air and dove back into the ground. Eris let go of him and glared daggers at him when he backed away.

"He tried using him as a shield!" Sting told Rogue.

"He's smart and knows what he's doing, but right now, we have a job to do," Rogue tells him.

"Eh?" You tilted tilted head. Sting and Rogue were running straight for you. The only choices you had was to use magic or run away.

"Come with us!" Sting told you. Rogue and him extended their hands forward and tried to grab your arms. A wall of vines appeared in front of you.

"Mard Geer-sama!" You cried out.

He faces you as he fought off Eris. "You may run away as you use your magic. But if you want, you may kill一"

Eris punches him in the nose, causing him to stagger backwards.

"Why do you bother to listen to him?! How could you trust him when you've just met him?!" Eris shouted angrily at you. Mard Geer sends his magic towards him, and it grazed off of his face when he dodged it, creating a small cut.

"But I just met you too! Why should I trust you, Sting, and Rogue?" You questioned him.

He deadpanned. You heard groans coming from the other side of the vine wall.

Sting started, "She's right, y'know一"

"Shut up," you heard Rogue mutter.

"Well, you don't have to so rude一OW!" Sting yelled out in pain. "You don't have to pull my ear either!"
