My Promise To You [COMPLETE]

Chapter 38: Dragons

"Natsu-san, Gray-san, it's up to you now!" Eris called out to the boys, who had their faces scraped across the ground. As they heard Eris, the two boys had begun to attack Mard Geer.

"Come on, (Y/N)-chan. We have to move these two out of the way," Eris told you.

"Right."

As you carried the two boys along, an explosion of purple and orange filled the sky. Then, as light appeared from their attack, rocks and rubble were thrown everywhere. You and Eris were trying your best not to get hit by them.

"(Y/N)-chan, put up your water sphere. It's the only way to protect us while you heal them," said Eris, but he then added, "Not unless you want to fight that demon with Natsu-san and Gray-san."

You looked at him, then at Natsu and Gray.

"Water Sphere!" You hollered.

You added some healing qualities to the bubble, and ran out of it, leaving Sting and Rogue to Eris' care. You saw the two boys getting beaten by Mard Geer. As he threw them on the ground, you noticed him getting ready to fire a laser at them. You quickly intercepted between the two of them before they could get hit.

"Claw of the Water Dragon!" You shouted, pushing back the impact of the laser that Mard Geer had fired from his hand.

"Arigato, (Y/N)," Gray thanked you.

"Yeah! Arigato, nee-chan!" Natsu sang, his face twisted into a cheeky grin.

"No problem," you replied with a smile.

You glared at Mard Geer.

"Roar of the Fire/Water Dragon!" Natsu and you roared in unison.

A spiral of fire and water combined together, then Gray added his attack, "Rage of the Ice Demon". But the demon had swiftly evaded higher up to the sky with a glowing hand.

"Dea Yggdrasil!" Mard Geer raged, using a large pillar of vines to come down on you.

But you destroyed it with a heavy amount of punches and yelling, shattering it to pieces. Gray managed to freeze all of the plants before they hit the ground.

"Ice Make: Gungnir!" Gray shot you and Natsu upwards, inside his own ice. As you made it to the top, you broke free to attack the demon.

"That's cold!" Natsu shouted as he broke through with you by his side. "Brilliant Flame of the Fire Dragon!"

Natsu punched him towards the ground.

"Wing Attack of the Water Dragon!" You cried out, water crescents fired at the Mard Geer to keep him down.

All three of you landed on the ground. You looked through the smoke and dust to see if you had done any damage, but Mard Geer stood up once more, using his wings to guard himself against your dragon magic.

"Tch, is this guy immortal?" Natsu questioned.

"...if my magic could hit him, we could do a decent amount of damage..." hissed Gray.

Mard Geer taunted, "You have entertained Mard Geer, human wizards."

You all watched him as he began go explain something to you.

"Long ago, magic was born as one. Soon, it eventually developed into many different kinds of magic." Mard Geer pointed at the book of E.N.D. "Historically, E.N.D created a new possibility for magic...curses. The source of their power were actually curses一hatred, envy, grudges, rage一all negative emotions make them stronger... They are based on the nature of life."
