It was in the middle of the night when Niall woke you up from your sleep.
“Babe.” He said brushing the sides of your stomach
“Mm.” You hummed telling him that you are awake
“Wake up.” He moaned
“What's wrong?” You turned around so you can face him
“I'm not feeling good.” He mumbled
“What's the matter?” You sat up from your position and turned on your lamp that is on your bedside table
He struggled to sit up from his lying position and you helped him. You pressed the back of your hand to his forehead to check his temperature.
“You're burning up.” You said a little bit louder
You went straight to the bathroom, to get the thermometer from the counter. You went to his side once you got the measuring device and you put it onto his mouth and waited for a minute or so for the result.
“It's 39.4 degrees.” You said after hearing the beeping sound from the thermometer “You have a fever, Ni. Hold on.”
You head down to the kitchen to grab him a glass of water and a medicine to lower down his temperature.
You went back to your shared bedroom as quick as possible. But you got confuse to see him not in bed. Then you heard him in the bathroom, you walked over to see him kneeling in front of the toilet, throwing up.
You put the glass of water and medicine on the counter and went to his side to rub his back in order to calm him down.
“Just let it out babe.” You said while rubbing his back
When he was done throwing up, he leaned on your side, panting.
“Here, drink this.” You said giving him the things you took from the kitchen
“Thanks.” He said groggily
You helped him up and guided him back to the bed.
After tucking him to bed, you joined him giving him a kiss on the forehead.
“I love you.” He said, lazily wrapping his arm around your waist
“I love you too, now go to sleep.” You said, gently rubbing the arm that is wrapped around you
He scooted his head on the crook of your neck, feeling his slow breathing. You shut your eyes close and let darkness took over.
