(Y/N)'s POV
"Do you still love him?" Shawn asked his voice cracking at the end
"I--" I said trying to form the words that I wanted to say but nothing is coming out
Did I really move on?
Or am I still in love with Niall?
These questions are running through my mind and I'm so confused and scared on everything that's going to happen.
Niall still means a lot to me and Shawn means a lot to me too but I don't know if the way that I feel for Shawn is the way that I felt when I was with Niall.
"Shawn, I love you. I really do, and-- I appreciate everything that you had done for me for these past couple of months. All of the memories that we made are always treasured in here." I said pointing at my heart while looking him straight to the eyes and when I looked at him, I realized that this is not the man that I wanted to spend the rest of my life "I'm sorry but, I still love Niall. All this time it's been him that I had been looking for." I added holding his hands with mine
He just stared at me and he looked hurt. Oh my gosh, I'm such a terrible person. How could I hurt him like this.
"Maybe sooner or later you will forgive me or you will not. And I understand that because I hurted you so much. But I want you to know, someday you'll find the perfect girl for you. The one who will be there for the rest of your life. The one who will love you unconditionally." I said "I'm just a person who will teach you a lesson and the one will be there for you. For better or for worse." I said hugging him very tight
"Even it hurts, that's fine with me. As long as you're happy then I am also." He said wiping his tears "I'm sorry for keeping you locked in, so from now on I will set you free and let you go." He said pulling away from the hug "It's going to take time before I will be fully healed. But I promise to you that I will always be here for you when you need me."
"You never kept me locked in, Shawn. You kept me safe and I will be thankful for that. Please call me if you also need help. I will never close my door for you, you mean so much to me. Just don't forget to call me on your wedding day." I half jokingly said and he chuckled
"Of course. How could I forget you." He smiled and giving me a gentle kiss on the forehead and hugged me again "I'm going to miss you, (Y/N)."
"I'm going to miss you too, Shawn." I said hugging him before we end it
Then he pulled away "Now go get your man. I'm sure he's been looking for you." He said and I smiled at him
I hugged him one last time and said "Thank you." And enter the room again then I saw Niall standing in the middle of the room. We had an eye contact moment and everything feels like we are in slow motion.
I smiled at him and ran through his direction. Once I've reached him I was standing few inches away from him. I don't know what to say but my heart is beating so fast.
"Hi." He nervously said and I smiled at him
"Hi." I said, but this time it's different from the last greeting that we had hours ago
"Do you want a drink?" He asked a little shy
"I would love that." I answered "So what's your name again?"
"I'm Niall Horan." He answered offering his hand for a shake "And you are?"
"I'm (Y/N). (Y/N) (Y/L/N)." I said and gently shook his hand
The thing that I learned about throughout this process is, if it's meant to be, it will be.
We both knew that everything will be fine once we are fully healed on the right time. Same with Shawn. It will be a new beginning and a new chapter for the three of us.
It took a few months to get Niall's trust back but I saw he changed for good while we are dating. He was still the same but also a better boyfriend.
We moved into a new apartment after 8 months of relationship. It took a while because we both wanted to be more committed, ready and be on the same page once we moved in together.
Shawn also became my best friend in the end. We are like brothers and sisters and I thought there will be some awkwardness that will happen between Niall and Shawn, but thank goodness there is none. Good thing they worked it out also.

Niall's POV
It's 7 in the morning and I was woken up with a gorgeous lady sleeping peacefully beside me.
It's been 3 months since me and (Y/N) moved in to our new apartment. It's much new and it's the perfect place to make new memories.
There were a lot of ups and downs but it all worked out, and together, we always figure it out in the end. I didn't expect that I'll get her back in my arms again. It still feels so surreal for me uptil now. I thought I am still dreaming but I am in reality.
(Y/N) fluttered her eyes open and I smiled when I saw her beautiful (color of your eyes) eyes.
"Good morning, Ni." She whispered closing her eyes again, nuzzling her face on the crook of my neck
"Good morning, my love. Sleep well?" I asked cuddling to her
She answered by giving me a lazy nod and I chuckled on how adorable she is
After a few seconds I said "I love you." giving her a kiss on the forehead
"I love you too." She said
