Niall's POV
Once I got out of my car, I started to sweat and I can feel my heart beating so fast. I haven't been this nervous since I auditioned in X-Factor.
I was having second thoughts if I should do this right now or do it some other time and practice my speech again.
You can do this, Niall. It's just another introduction so calm down. It's not a life or death situation. This is easy.
“Good evening, Mr. and Mrs. (Y/L/N), I--uhh, I would like to..” I mumbled to myself as I try to remember my speech
Why am I having a mental block right now? The practice was perfectly fine last night.
Let's just screw this, I'll just deliver it spontaneously.
I took a deep breath before I pressed the doorbell but (Y/N)'s sister suddenly opened the front door.
“Niall! What are you doing here?” She exclaimed “Mom, Dad! (Y/N)'s boyfriend is here!”
Then their mother appeared behind her sister and she walked towards the front door.
“Niall, glad to see you. (Y/N)'s not home, she's at work.” Her mom said
“Mom you're not seriously going to talk outside.” Her sister said
“Oh how rude of me. Come in, come in son.” Her mom said letting me come inside the house
They guided me to the living room and I sat across them.
“Hon, Niall is here!” Her mom called (Y/N)'s dad into the living room
My hands are now sweaty and I can't form the right words to say.
“Niall, how are you doing son?” Her dad said and I stood up then shake his hand
(Y/N)'s POV
I got home from work feeling stressed and tired from work. My boss is so mad at me, I failed the paperworks and I have to do it again and my deadline is the day after tomorrow.
Today wasn't my day.
I opened the front door and greeted my parents telling them I am home.
When I passed by the mirror on the hallway of our house, I look like Bellatrix from Harry Potter. My hair is all over the place and my eyes are so tired and droopy. I brushed my hair down so I can look presentable as much as possible.
“Oh hey, hon.” Mom smiled at me and gave me a hug which is strange
“Mom, what's with the hug?” I chuckled
“Why I can't hug my daughter?” She said then tears started to form on her eyes
“Mom, why are you crying? What's wrong?” I asked getting worried
“I'm just.. I'm so happy!” She said then dad saw us in the hallway
“Hi angel.” Dad said and hugged me also
Is it national hug day today?
“Sorry, we just miss our little princess.” Dad said after he pulled away
“Dad, I will be your little princess forever and ever.” I smiled and hugged both of my parents
“You look tired, sweetheart. You should get some rest and I'll call you later for dinner. Alright?” Mom said
“That will be great mom, thanks.” I said and gave her a kiss on the cheeks before I head to my bedroom
When I opened the door of my bedroom, there were red and pink rose petals scattered all over my bedroom floor. I can also smell my favorite scented candle burning inside my room. Then Niall walked out of my bathroom wearing a white long sleeves folded into ¾ pairing it with a black trousers. He was holding a bouquet of red roses in his hand and made me think how did I get so lucky to have this man in my life.
“Hey princess.” He smiled and walk over to me while handing me the roses
“What's with the setup?” I asked as I wiped the tears from my eyes
“Why you don't like it?” He worriedly asked
“No.” I answered then I felt he became tense “I love it.” I added giving him a peck on the lips
“Well I'm glad you love it.” He smiled nervously and scratch the back of his neck
“I don't understand. What's going on?” Then Niall kneeled in front of me and I gasped in shock
Is this what I think it is?
“(Y/F/N) thank you for being the best girlfriend I ever had. I'm so thankful, grateful, and blessed to have you in my life. I have never felt this loved ever since you came. You mean so much to me and I couldn't picture myself without you. I love you, I want to be able to spend the rest of my life with you, have three beautiful kids, and have a big house for our family, I want to do everything with you.” He took the velvet box out of his pocket and opened it with a white crystal ring inside “Will you marry me?”
I didn't expect this to happen, it feels like I'm dreaming. I was speechless and in awe at the same time. I started to tear up. What did I do to deserve him?
“Yes.” I whisper and nod “Yes, I'll marry you, Niall.”
“Yes?” He also started to tear up and he stood up
I nod and I can't control my emotions right now. I was overwhelmed. Then he slid the engagement ring on my finger before hugging me.
“I love you.” I said after pulling away from the hug
“I love you too.” He said and kissed me passionately
