Chapter 12 Try To Take Your Mind Off... (Nessie's P.O.V.)

As James was hugging me, I felt kinda awkward. To my relief, Kendall and Carlos stood up to hug me too. I know James loves Dinah, my very best friend, and being hugged by him so tightly didn't feel right to me.

"Thank you, guys," I say, now smiling a bit.

"You're welcome, Nessie," all three guys reply in unison.

"We'll never leave your side," Presley says, coming to hug me. "Logan's way too lucky to have you, I hope he deserves your love."

"Awww, thanks Pres," I answer, blushing. "It's the other way round, actually. I hope I deserve his love."

"Well, you DO!" everyone shouts loudly.

"Awww, please STOP!" I yell, laughing. "Please, don't make me blush anymore."

"Okay," James agrees. "Maybe we could try to take your mind off of worries and go out together? What'cha think, girls?"

"Brilliant idea, James!" Presley smiles wider.

"Not so sure... Have you thought we may be spotted by paparazzi? I suppose it would get their attention, seeing us together without Logan," I reply quietly.

"Ahhh... I haven't thought about it this way, Nessie," James says calmly. "I'm sorry, Pres, but Nessie's right. It would be better for us to avoid being seen in public."

"Would you like to have dinner with us, then? I'm gonna prepare something tasty for us," I suggest.

"We'd love to," the guys reply. "But only if you let us help you in the kitchen, Nessie."

"Deal," I agree, hoping we won't end up in a total mess.

I must say everything goes pretty good and soon we sit down at the table. Our dinner turned out to be a big success.

"Thanks for the wonderful dinner, Nessie," the guys say.

"You're welcome. And thanks for your help, guys," I reply, smiling wider.

"You're welcome," they repeat, also smiling. "See you tomorrow!"

"Yeah, see you!" I say before I close the door behind them.

I spend the rest of the day with Presley, watching a few sitcoms on TV. Maybe I should try to take my mind off, but I can't help thinking about Logan's unusual behaviour. I'm afraid it's depression creeping in... Oh, I hope things will get somewhat better soon...
