Bal: a King and his queen

The date

*an hour later Mal walks onto the tourney field and sees a romantic picnic but no Ben*
Mal: Ben?!?
*theres no reply so she walks further onto the field towards the picnic looking around as she does, trying again as she does*
Mal: Ben?!? Ben?!?!
*she arrives at the picnic in the middle of the tourney field and sees a note by it that reads*
'Hey, sorry Mal, I just had to grab some things so just make yourself comfortable and I'll be back soon I promise
Ben xxxx'
Mal: I don't know why he puts so many kisses on everything
*he walks up behind her*
Ben: because I love you so much
*Mal jumps, she whips round and slapped him on the arm*
Mal: God, why would you do that to me Ben
Ben: woah, I'm sorry okay, I didn't mean to scare you
Mal: yeah whatever, let's just get on with it
Ben: come on Mal, don't be like that
Mal: okay, I'm sorry, I just, no I don't know, it doesn't matter
Ben: no, go on, what is it?
Mal: I just can't help but feel like any minute now loads of people are going to show up and ruin it
Ben: I know but we just have to forget about them, there is nothing they can do to us, as long as we're together
Mal: yeah I know it's just, I'm not used to the attention
Ben: i'm sure you will get used to it and if you don't then we can just keep as private, you don't have to be in the public eye if you don't want to
Mal: no I'm your girlfriend and no one will ever question that as long as we're together
Ben: okay then, let's just forget about that and have a nice picnic shall we
Mal: yeah let's
*They sit down and eat, talk and laugh and then 25 minutes later when they've finished*
Ben: how was that?
Mal: lovely
Ben: I brought the strawberries because I know you love them
Mal: I do, I really do
Ben: next week do you wanna go to the beach, you and me with Evie and Doug?
Mal: oh yeah Doug's coming back early isn't he?
Ben: yeah he was spending a week at home then a week here before taking Evie home to meet his family for two weeks in their spending the last two weeks here
Mal: it's very confusing isn't it
Ben: yeah but oh well
Mal: i'm going to miss Evie while she's gone, our room will be really quiet without her
Ben: well you've got me
