Chapter 8

Ifkar's POV
It has been three weeks since the first training, and Adrien is still acting weird. I'm going to go talk to him.

"Hey dude, what's up?" I said when I met him.
"The ceiling?" Or is it the sky?" He said.
"Seriously! You've been acting weird lately! What is wrong?" I said.
"It's about someone I've known since I was a kid." He said.
"Who?" I asked.
"Matt. Matt Erington." He said. "He's the worst guy I've ever known."

"Why? Oh no. Did he killed your parents?" I asked.
"Why you gotta be so curious, man?" He said. "He's just a childhood bully."
"Just like that? I've been smacked down 7 times, and I'm still okay!" I said.
"Would you please let me finish?" He said.

"One day we had a fight. He beaten me all up, and then he got caught by the principal. The principal called us to his office. I explained what happened, but Matt lied better, I was the one who got suspended from school." He explained. "I got suspended for a week, but my parents are too mad at the principal, we moved out. We moved to Mt. Logan, and I lived there forever. Away from others."

"Well in my opinion, your parents made a bad decision." I said. "It is just a week!"
"I've never liked the life on Mt. Logan." He said.
"Attention to all elementalists. Please head to the assembly hall." I heard that it was Alison who's speaking. So, we walked to the assembly hall.

When we arrived, we saw Mr. Cleave, Alison, and an unknown girl, holding a business file.

"Good day, elementalists. Today we are having a new recruit, my assistant, Ashley Dennerton." Mr. Cleave said. Assistant?
"Hi... My name is Ashley Dennerton. I'm actually a shadow/darkness elementalist, but I still can't control my powers. But I can help with weaponry." She said.

"Right. We only have two more weeks to prepare our guts." Alison said. "Training will start at 2 PM. But if anyone wants to train first, um.. that's okay."
"Let's go!" Robin yelled. And we ran off.
