This story is a spin-off from my Edge of a Knife trilogy about an elf I made up who appeared in Return of the Shadow and The Hidden Enemy.
People were interested in his backstory so here it is!
You don't necessarily have to read the other books in this series in order for this one to make since.
One or two things may be mentioned from the main trilogy but those will mainly be in the prologue and in the last few chapters. (SPOILER ALERT)
I highly recommend not reading the Prologue unless you have read The Hidden Enemy.
So if you want to start with this book go right ahead! If you want to start with The Edge of a Knife that works too, or you may want to start with Fading Light.
