Since I had free time, I was able to write this whole chapter in one sitting, so it's earlier then I expected. I want to release the next chapter on Thursday and hopefully start post every Monday and Thursday, or at least just one of those days. Anyways, Enjoy!!

"(F/n), you're in danger! You all are!" Chad shouted.

"What are you talking about, Chad?" You asked your former kidnapper suspiciously.

"My name's not Chad, it's Sudou," he corrected you. "But we don't have much time! Your guild is in danger!" A low murmur filled the room as people exchanged worried whispers and gasps. Was this about the prophecy? Before you can react, Gray steps between you and Chad.

"Get away from her!" He yelled. Looking back at you, he asked in a gentle tone, "are you okay, (f/n)?"

"I'm fine," you said coldly as you pushed him away. But as soon as your skin made contact, you felt the sting of each other's magic and jumped back. Another wave of worried murmuring came as the rest of the guild noticed what had happened. Damn it, you had forgotten about that. Apparently it happens whenever you touch. Gray muttered an apology before turning his attention back to your former kidnapper.

"It's already started," Chad/Sudou said, mostly to himself. "That thing that just happened when you touched? That's Zaro's doing, and it's not good. He never finished the spell that was supposed to kill you both, so now that's happening. The more you touch, the worse it gets until you eventually lose control of your magic altogether! There's a way to stop it, but it's a really dangerous spell and we don't have much time!"

Was he lying? You thought back to your dream, seeing the guild in wreckage. Could that really happen if 'Sudou' was telling the truth. But could you trust him? "Okay, Chad-"

"Sudou," he corrected.

"Whatever," you spat. "Why should I trust you? You kidnapped me, you were working for Zaro - and you expect me to believe that you suddenly had a change of heart?"

He looked down, ashamed. "I know what I did, and I don't expect you to forgive me, but please just let me help you. I know-"

"You tried to kill me!" You snapped.

"Like I said, I'm sorry. But all that was before I found out Zaro's true plans!" He pleaded. "Please, if we don't do something quick, it might be to late!" You scanned him up and down, trying to determine whether or not you could believe him. His breaths were rigid and panicked; his eyes desperate. In the air hung the sharp smell of fear - from the guild, and from him. He seemed genuinely scared.

"He's telling the truth," an elderly voice confirmed as the short guild master made his way through the crowd. "I've sensed a strange magic around you for a while, but I wasn't sure what it was. When Levy told me about the dream you had, I started to suspect it might have something to do with Zaro. If this young man is telling the truth, then it's a type of sensory-link magic."

"Actually, it's a bit different," Chad -no, Sudou- explained. "Where as sensory-link magic works best when the two people have a strong connection, this works best when that established connection is broken in some way."

People throughout the guild expressed their surprise. 'Gray and (f/n)? Those two can't get enough of each other. Did they get in a fight?' You frowned at the whispers around you.

"Hm, I see," the old man mused. If he was shocked by this information, he didn't show it. Turning to you and Gray, his cool atmosphere suddenly disappeared as he yelled at you. "I don't know whats going on, but you two brats better work out your differences, you hear me!?"
