Chapter 4: Wondering through the garden

Your PoV

I decided to go for a walk through the garden of the castle, it is beautiful. Me and my sister chose the colours, the flowers and place of the small river, pond and bridge. It is a lovely sight.

I walked down the cobble path by the water fall, getting a little splashed by the water. It was helpful a decided to put on a knee length dress (it's white with red roses on). My hair flew in the wind when I arrived at the river. I walked over the bridge looking over the flowers.

I eventually came to my destination at the other side of the garden, the cherry blossom tree me, Courtney and mum use to have picnics by. The swing was still hanging off the biggest branch.

I was walking the last few steps when I remembered the song we use to sing walking to the tree.

Let's go in the garden,
You'll find something waiting,
Right there where you left it lying upside down.
When you finally find it,

The underside is lighter,
When you turn it around.

Everything stays, but it still changes.
Ever so slightly,

I smiled at the memories as they flooded back. I couldn't help but fall to my knees and cry.

Knowing I will never see her again,
Hear her sweet voice again,
Listen to her songs again,
Touch hands with her again......

"I miss you mother." I said in-between sobs, I looked at the plaque layer next to the tree saying,

In loving memory of,
Summer Rose.
A loving mother, and a piece of our world we will never forget.

I couldn't help but cry harder. I heard footsteps behind me, but I ignored them. That's when I felt hand wrap around me. I looked up to see Courtney with tears streaming down her face, and I hugged her instantly, she hugged me back.

"I miss her too." She said and wrapped her arms tighter around me and I did the same.

Courtney's PoV

A few moments later I looked down to see (Y/N)'s tear stained face sleeping peacefully. She had cried herself to sleep so I picked her up bridal style and took her back to the castle, where I took her to her bed.

"I love you." I said and kissed the top of her head before getting ready for bed myself.

Nuh-night, sleep tight,
don't let the bedbugs bite.
Love you, see you in the morning...............

Okay this is very emotional chapter.
The saying above is actually by my mum, I thought I'd put it there because she use to say that before to me and my sister as a goodnight sign off.

Before she died a month ago
