Emerald had felt fear, sorrow, pain and every other feeling but she'd never felt such a protective feeling before now, before this innocent child needed her. Emerald held her, whispering to reassure her while the pack dealt with the rouges that decided to be stupid enough to stick around.

Emerald sighed when she felt a familiar aura surround her. She couldn't believe that after everything he'd done to her that she'd find comfort in having him so close. Emerald looked over her shoulder and almost wish she hadn't. Dash stood there in all his sexiness, slightly panting a light sheen of sweat glistening on his naked chest as he looked at her with unhiden concern and worry. At the moment looking into his eyes, Emerald felt loved and cared for but even as the little voice in her head whispered mate she couldn't figure out why she felt so- safe.

The little girl who had been sobbing quietly suddenly became loud as she ran to her Alpha. "Alpha, Alpha!" Dash didn't hesitate to grab the girl up in his arms, cooing her as she sobbed out her fear. Dash turned, looking for her mother. Dash feared she may have been killed in the attack until Lucas walked forward with a crying woman. "Mommy!" The girl screamed, wiggling out of Dash's arms and then running into those of her mothers.

The woman held her daughter crying her relief at having her pup in her hands, then looked up at Dash, "thank you! Thank you!" She repeated but Dash shook his head.

"Your Luna saved her." Dash clarified, nodding his head to his mate who now stood slowly, looking between them.

"Thank you so much Luna. You saved my baby!" The mother said, and Emerald couldn't help but feel a sense of pride run through her at the affection in the woman's voice but instead of answering Emerald shook her head and watched as the mother and daughter left.

"Are you okay?" Dash asked softly as he came to stand by Emerald. He wanted to hold her not just for himself or his beast but because his strong mate looked like she was about to break down at any moment.

Emerald slowly looked up at Dash as the adrenaline left her body, feeling the tears well up she could only manage to nod, not trusting her voice.

Dash couldn't handle it after the first tear fell, he wrapped his arms around Emerald's shaking shoulders and drew her to him. Holding her, rubbing her back up and down slowly as she cried. "I've got you. Your safe now." He whispered.

Emerald knew she shouldn't be crying, but she not only had immense fear for that young girls life and the possibility of her ability not working, but the relief that it had. But, she also couldn't help but fear that the rouges had come for her. Had they? Was she the reason Dash's pack was in danger? Was what she told both Lucas and Dash about not bringing them harm a lie now that the rouges possibly knew where she was?

She was slowly becoming used to everyone here and she didn't want to leave yet, but she knew that she had to tell them. Had to tell them that by keeping her here, they were all in danger of future attacks.

"Dash.." Emerald whispered, realizing she was pressed up against his toned, muscular chest. She tried not to blush but she couldn't fight the rising heat. She didn't look up at him, because she didn't want him to see his affect on her. "I need to speak to you, your Beta and your mother- privatley. Please." Emerald said.

Dash looked down at his beautiful mate, thanking the moon goodess that she was safe, and had allowed him to hold her, feeling her against him he had an unimaginable urge to mark her, to protect her and even to mate her so that every male rouge or pack member knew she belonged solely to him.

Dash listened to her barely audiable voice. "Of course mate-" he slipped, then coughed. "C-come." Dash stuttered, holding her arm gently as he lead her back into the house and to his office which thankfully was sound proof. While walking there he linked Lucas, and his mother to meet them there. He was curious what his mate wished to talk about but he was sure it was important to have invited Lucas, who Emerald still was skittish around.
