Photoshoot day
After several times and days of reassuring me that everything was going to be fine, I was finally at a state I wanted myself to be. It was just work. That was what I thought everyday, thinking if I repeated it in my head enough times I would believe it. I should be proud that Robbie handed me an interview to take care of so I just needed to make sure it came out as a work piece I was really proud of. And also I didn't want to ruin Spencer's chances to make this his best one yet. I had made the questions and somehow had managed to keep them away from Justin before he saw them. I didn't want him to get prepared for the questions. They weren't bad nor were they too easy. And I made sure there weren't any personal questions since Scheana's manager was very strict about them. I didn't know her crew would treat me so badly. They were surprisingly mean even though I was the one writing the column about them, about her.
"Yes, here." I told the taxi driver as he pulled over in front of a tall building.
The photoshoot was going to be kept in a nice penthouse with a large balcony. I hadn't seen the place but since Spencer was taking the picture's he got to choose the place. You can imagine how proud Robbie was of him.
I stepped out of the yellow car and threw the door shut. There were a few paparazzi's swarming in front of the doors and I knew they weren't here for me. They barely even knew who I was. They knew Scheana and Justin were already inside so they were waiting for the moment they would step out but that wasn't going to happen in a while. Suckers.
Porter in a nice suit opened the door for me and I was guided to the elevators. The building had 50 floors and naturally the photoshoot was kept in the highest apartment. Nervously I tapped my high heel covered foot against the floor as the semi-big metallic box glided up the levels.
It was just work.
After a good long minute the box slowed down and stopped, opening the doors for me. There was music playing loudly and people setting up the screens and shadows outside and inside. The apartment was nicely decorated with a modern touch. It was definitely an apartment where Justin could live. I stepped inside and looked around. As soon as I spotted Spencer setting up his MacBook, I hurried over to him.
"Is everything ready? Is the shoot going to be first or the interview?" I hissed at him, shaking his arm.
"Well good morning to you too." he laughed and took a few test shots with his camera, "The interview is first but they're getting some touch-ups so you don't have to panic just yet."
I put my bag down on the floor and looked around.
"They're in their own dressing rooms. Separate rooms, I mean." Spencer gulped.
I rolled my eyes at him.
That's good, Ava. Be professional. You don't care about those kind of facts. At work.
"Oh and there's your dear boyfriend." Spencer tried to lighten up the mood.
Quickly I turned to wherever he was looking at and saw a Greek God approaching me in a white flanel bathrobe. I had to lick my lips.
"Hi, Justin." I greeted him, professionally.
He came over to me and started laughing.
"Oh stop the formality and come here." he pulled me into a big bear hug before I could even protest.
See? It's just work.
"Justin, there's people around here." I mumbled against his chest.
"I can't hug my girlfriend in public?" he frowned as we pulled away.
