I run as fast as my legs can carry my small body. I go to the hallway that allows me to see them, but they won't be able to see me. I hide behind the big yellow sign that reads 'Caution Wet Floor' and keep quiet just like my mommy told me to do. Peeking around the corner I can see tall men all dressed in black with big guns in their hands around mommy.

The man standing in front of her was talking too low for me to hear. The man, like the others, is dressed in dark clothes. He seems to stand out more than the others though because of his light hair. He grabs her around the throat so tightly that it is already turning bright red and starts yelling then at her. "Where is the rest of your filthy pack?" Spit flies in her face as he speaks.

Mommy never once stops looking into his hard eyes; her soft blue eyes looking right back into his. "I'll never tell you anything. You might have me, but you'll never get to them." Her voice got all shaky from not being able to breathe.

Mommy shhh! I think will all my might hoping to talk to her through the mind link. Please don't make the scary man angry! I push so hard that my head begins to hurt.

Tears begin to stream down my face in waves and my legs begin to tremble. I hug my stuffed wolf close to my chest, hoping that he can protect be from this just as he had protected me from the monsters in my closet.

My tear-filled eyes meet mommy's. She gives me a smile as if to somehow make me feel less scared. She then mouths the word "run" before looking back into the mans eyes.

"Then you are no use for me. But remember this, I will find them, and I will kill them." Without saying anything else he grabs her head and twists it hard to the right.

I hear a loud crack as she falls to the ground with her face facing me. The same face I had kissed this morning when I woke up. The same face that I splashed water on in the bath. My mommy's beautiful face that now lays on the dirty ground. The last I see of mommy is the light leaving her eyes for the last time and my innocence along with it.

Obeying her I take off running towards the door at the end of the hall with the bright red letter. The tears continue to run down my cheeks as the images of my dead mommy play over in my head. My long curly hair flows behind me as I desperately run for the door to get away. The tears blur my vision and I trip. My arm goes under me in an unnatural way. Letting out a scream I push myself up to my feet and keep running holding my injured arm and my stuffed wolf against me.

When I open the door, an ear-piercing alarm starts to go off. I run from the little old grocery store with all my might right into the thick forest. I suddenly hear pounding feet running in my direction. Looking over my shoulder I can see at least five grown men running at me and following them is a boy that looks to be a few years older than me. The boy has light hair just like the man who killed mommy.

The man with the light hair from the store has a gun pointed at me. In seconds he pulls the trigger sending a bullet into my leg. Pain shoots through my left leg above my knee. Falling I curl in a ball still holding my injured arm and now bleeding leg. I close my eyes wishing that this is all a bad dream. I want to wake up and go lay in bed between mommy and daddy just like I always do when I have a bad dream.

Knowing I have to get away I open my eyes and push myself back to my small feet and continue. Instincts finally overtake my tiny body. One second I'm a little girl running for her life, the next I'm a small pure white wolf with a black tipped tail darting past trees leaving a trail of blood from my still injured limbs.
