She noticed the boy that was always sitting at the back of the class. The right corner and his table always seemed out of place, making him stand out, at least to her. She would absentmindedly doodle his name into her notebook in class but no one could see her tiny handwriting. He would attempt to twirl a pen with his fingers but he would always drop them. It would land with a loud thud but nobody seemed to mind, after all, he was in the corner.

She noticed the boy that would sit by the controls in the music room that was placed in the corner. He would fiddle with one or two buttons, trying to figure out what they would do. Sometimes, he would pluck his headphones in and start pressing a series of buttons, like he knows what he is doing. He would sometimes get frustrated after a few tries and slam his headphones down onto the controls. Even though it was loud, nobody cared. After all, he was in a corner.

She noticed the boy would always sit in the corner of the empty cafeteria after school, holding onto his phone with headphones on his ears. He would nod his head along to the beat of the music and sometimes, he would raise his eyebrows. Was he confused or surprised by the lyrics? She wouldn't know since she never knew what he was listening to. Although sometimes, his music tends to be louder than expected in the quiet cafeteria but it would just come off in a series of blurred echoes. The people studying there never notices, after all, he was in the corner.

Even though she didn't know, he would notice the girl that would glance over to him once in awhile in class. Sometimes, he wondered what she wrote in the corner of her book but her handwriting was too small to even form a letter. He would see the slight smile on her face from trying to hide her laughter after seeing him fail in twirling his pen. However, it was her that would immediately hand one pen to him once she saw that his one stopped working after being dropped too many times. Nobody noticed that he would only do that in the classes that she was in as well just for a chance to interact with the shy girl. After all, his eyes were only on her and the others eyes were on the teacher.

He would notice the girl looking at him with worried eyes whenever he slammed the headphones onto the controls. Was it because she was genuinely concerned about him or the school property? He doesn't know. But looking around, it was only her who cared and it was enough for him to put back on his headphones and restart on his production of his music, which he hopefully can share with her one day.

He would see her walking into the cafeteria an hour after school when almost everyone has left for home or the mall just down the street. Knowing that she was going to be there yet again for another afternoon, he would put on his headphones and let the music relax his brain. He would listen to the music that he had created. Sometimes, he would raise his eyebrows when he reach certain parts that didn't sound right and he would listen to it again and again until he knows what was missing. Sometimes, he would play the music louder just to catch what was wrong with it and he would see the girl straining her neck closer to his direction, trying to hear what he was listening to. "One day, one day you will hear it. I promise." He said to himself.

It was a surprise when the boy didn't sit in the corner once he walked into class that day. Instead, he walked towards the seat beside her and gestured towards it while looking at her as if he was asking for permission. Not trusting her mouth to form coherent words, she nodded slightly, confused and excited. With a smile, he sat down, making himself comfortable.

Since they were both early to class, there was no one else other then the couple standing near the door, chatting before one of them had to head for their class. She pulled out her notebook and started to doodle random letters scattered all over her notebook suddenly, she felt him looking over her shoulder. "Ahh, so that's what you write." Shocked, she turned towards the boy that had a smirk on his face. "I see that you are writing my name." Turning back to her notebook, she realised that the letters she had written randomly actually formed his name. Her cheeks turned red and she flipped to another page, pretending that she was reading her notes and hiding her face in it.

"Hey, I need your opinion on this." He put a earpiece into her right ear and put the other one in his left ear. Once the melody started, she realised that it wasn't any song she had heard before. It was either she was outdated on music or he produced it himself. Once she heard the rap start, she knew that it was the latter. As his rap was very fast, she could only understand bits and pieces of it. When she pieced the story of the song together, she can't help but blush.

"It was really good, did you make it yourself?" She asked as the song ended, passing the earpiece back to him. "Yes I did, I'm glad that you like it." He gave her a wide smile.

"Are you serious?"

"About?"

"Asking that girl that only noticed you out for coffee and hoping that there will be a future between you two?"

"You understood the lyrics?"

"Only bits and pieces of it. I was hoping you would tell me the full story over coffee."

"No problem. After all, I have to thank you for noticing me."
