Flashback...
I stood on the street corner holding my skateboard in one hand while I looked down at my sidekick. "Ay, you know lobsters don't die?" My best friend, Jabari said making me look up at him.
"What the fuck type of shit?"
"It's true. Look it up," he said nodding his head. I just shook my head when the street light finally turned green for us to go across the street. I put my skateboard flat on the ground as we both took off across the street. I had two sets of friends. I had the niggas I ran the streets with. My 2N crew. Then I had people like Jabari I just did shit like skateboard and play video games with. I've been knowing Jabari since I used to play little league football over in Compton because my mama wouldn't let me play for the Long Beach team.
Some girl I went to school with called my name so I said, "Heyy!" As we kept going. I needed to get to Ramona Park to handle something. I really had no choice but to bring Jabari along. This wouldn't take long anyway.
When we finally got there I grabbed my skateboard into my hand as we walked to the basketball court. I dapped up my people as Jabari did the same. "Where's he at?" I asked looking around for the guy who's been hooping and hollering that he wanted to fight me.
"There he go," my cousin, Joey said pointing to a group of guys coming towards us. I put my skateboard down then took my backpack off. I wasn't waiting. He's been running his mouth crazy after we fought at the mall and he lost. I put my skateboard down getting on kicking then pushing as I glided. "What the fuck is he doing?" I could hear Joey ask. As I got closer to the guy I jumped off of my skateboard grabbing it then running up to him swinging it hitting him in the face.
