It upsets me a lot
Of how careless people are sometimes
You were diagnosed
With ME
You were suffering like the rest
You joined the support groups
To gain insight
Support
Comfort
And friendship
Yet you
Ditched us
As soon as your ME
Started to subside
You told me
You didn't need the groups
Anymore
So what, are we just castaways
As soon as you start
Getting well?
I've been in recovery
For nearly a year
And I still communicate
With those that are
Suffering
Why?
Because I want to help
To give hope
Just because
I'm doing well
Doesn't mean I'm going to
Disappear
People need those of us
Who are getting better
To bring them hope
That it can happen to them
But you just went off
And ditched us
Like we weren't part of your
Precious life
Like if you stayed within
The groups
You'd become sick again
Like we were/are the plague
To your master plan
Your selfish attitude
Will come back to haunt you
One way or another
You're not better
Then anyone else
Well it's truly your loss
Because there are amazing people
In these groups
Whose souls are worth
Keeping and honoring
You may have
Ditched us
But we're a lot stronger
Without you
For we have each other
And hope
