You look over at Josh.
"For last night. And the night before. The landlord, and your..." Tyler sighs. "And your dad."
"Yeah..." Josh laughs nervously. "Sorry about that."
You shake your head, but don't smile. You were grateful that Josh came in when he did last night, and you're grateful that he came to the park today.
You take Tyler's hand with your right hand, and Josh's hand with your left.
Tonight, you'll be going home to your apartment. Alone. No alcoholic mother, no abusive father. Just you.
