"I knew you would win!!!!" Isaac screamed in excitement as he grabbed me by the waist and spun us around, all the while my laughter echoed through the yard.

"It was such a close call though" I whispered into his ear.

He planted me safely back on the ground before he grabbed the front of my helmet and playfully shook it, "For someone who hasn't raced in a while, you did fucking amazing!! I'm gonna go collect your winnings, I'll be back so don't move!" he then jogged away pushing my bike alongside him to talk to David.

I smiled feeling triumphant, even though it was covered by the mask, I was ecstatic that I won. We needed this win and I was so glad that I got it. It wasn't a permanent fix but this money was definitely going to help us out for a few more weeks.

"You got skill" the other racer said as he came up to me taking his helmet off and shook my hand. I instantly smiled and thanked him for the compliment. He looked young with his slightly curly blonde hair, blue eyes and a wide grin.

"You going to take off the gear so we can see you?" I let out a giggle as I shook my head playfully.

"Stay mysterious, right? Good choice" he chuckled before walking away, giving me one last wave.

I placed my hands on my hips and took in deep breaths and looked around the area, while I tried to control the adrenaline that was still coursing through my body. Everyone was in their own world. Those who bet on me were happy that they won some cash and then there were others who were miserable because they just lost their bet.

I saw Jaxon's crew just lounging around their cars all talking animatedly and laughing. That tugged a little at my heart because I knew I wouldn't be able to do that, the only reason I was able to do this tonight was by chance, Alena had asked to sleep over at Penelope's house. While Lucas was dominating the conversation, Jaxon shifted his gaze and stared directly in my direction and I met his gaze head on. I didn't have to worry about him noticing me admiring him, really taking in just how good looking he was.

I knew I was affected by him and his charm. It didn't take a genius to see that Jaxon was really attractive. Staring at him gave me slight tingles throughout my body that I couldn't explain. I didn't even have this feeling when I used to look at Noah. After what felt like an eternity but only 30 seconds in reality of staring at each other, he gave me his flirtatious smirk and then winking at me which caused my cheeks to flush red. It's a good thing I had this mask on.

"You ready or do you wanna kiss your boyfriend good night?" Isaacs voice broke away our contact. I slapped his shoulder for good measure while he laughed in return. He placed a protective arm over my shoulder and we started walking to the car but not before people were patting me on my back congratulating me once more.

After Isaac dropped me off at home and a ten-minute argument about whether I needed him to sleep over or not, I was finally relaxing on the couch with the television on in the background. I personally am not one for watching TV but our landlord insisted that we had it and connected it for us, mainly for Alena but I was grateful non-the less.
