it's been a week since i last seen freya but her voice from phone calls oddly rang in my head. my thoughts of her clouding my depressed ones. i miss her voice.
overall, i just missed her.my back pressed against the bricks surrounding the building rooftop, i take my phone out my sweatpants pocket and hover my thumb over the home button. it automatically unlocks and i go to my contacts, scrolling until i see freya's contact name.
contemplating if i should call her but i really don't want to bother her with my problems. my hands disagree with me anyway because before i knew it my phone was calling "freya🤓"
"hello?" freya's tiny but perky voiced over the line. making my heart do an extra thud against my ribcage.
"freya.." my voice came out smaller than i wanted.
"cole? what's wrong?" freya voice became more alert than i heard some shuffling.
"i'm just on the rooftop and thinking about life and well.. i missed your voice, with how weird that sounds." my voice crack halfway through my explanation. feeling extremely vulnerable.
"i'm on my way." she simply say before the line went dead.
i put my phone back into my pocket then set another brown stick on fire.
inhaling deeply..
