He placed the glass in the sink before walking out the kitchen. I was slicing up the tomatoes for our tacos when Trey walked in with his phone on speaker. Kenny and Key sat on the other line.

"Daniela! Couldn't keep Trey away for too long!"

Kenny said laughing.

"You know it! Where's Key?"

"Right here bitch!"

"Damn!"

I sighed, I missed having my friends all less than 20 minutes away.

"Hows my god-son doing though?"

Trey asked.

"Ayden is a mess he's trying to stand up and he just babbles all day long."

Key said proudly.

"Yeah I gotta get up there to see him."

"Man we trying to come visit y'all! Y'all in DC and Virginia where it's warm."

Kenny stated.

"Y'all should come down for my first basketball game, the first weekend in November."

Trey said while chomping on a tortilla chip.

"We should Kenny! We could leave Friday morning since I only have one class."

"Exactly."

I added in, a reunion would be just what I needed.

"Alright, alright. Let me see what I can do about work and if I can get the time off you know it, we in there."

I smiled just the idea of us all being together again had me excited. We chatted until I was done cooking and Trey and I took our seats at my table across from each other.

"Baby this is good"

Trey said stuffing his face. He always ate like it was his last meal and it killed me.

"It must be because you over there eating like you're starved."

He looked up and wiped his face.
